Yeah , a lot of players I used to play against I never get to see now.

Right now there are only 2 zones, Europe and America. And you get assigned depending on your connection speed to each one.

Just ask those players to go online at the same time you play and see whether they are getting into a different zone or simply they are not usually at the same time you are.

Whats the chances that you could let each squad have its own map that only that squad could use to run practice missions and training?

very slim, specially since there are only a few big squads. I was hoping to have many many squads with few people on each but since you have things like mom1, mom2, mom3, mom4 (just an example, I don't know if mom has that many) instead many different squads, I find it's a lot of work for just a few squads. It would require me to rethink the whole server code and rewrite the whole thing

Zup there used to be six servers we could pick which one we liked they where all zoned (vimy ridge ect)so we knew where they were so we could choose to play with friends im English but live in Canada i would love to play with pagan as long as hes willing to play with me lol i have a real good connection 60mbs download 10 mbs up couldnt you let those with strong connections go to the other servers too?

Speaking of the MOM subsquads-this was done only because of the limit on squad numbers for squad wars.As it seems unlikely that squad wars will happen,could you not allow any number of members to a squad?

On a different note. Regarding squad chat. Is everyone having the same problem of the chat not syncing properly to the current date and time? As well the chat being over polluted with old posts. Could we maybe get the ability to clean our own chat messages uo

Lol , would love to fly with you again Dog , if only to remind you what it's like to face a misfit , can't remember last time I faced one since Zup did his server thing. My Internet speed is 20m down and 10m up so speed should not be a problem.

If you are both on the same continent it should definitely connect you to the same place.
Another thing I can do is remove all and leave only one server, so everyone connects to the same place. That's what I did with Dogfight before it was closed and people loved it although it was a lag fest.

So, pick your favorite, lag due to everyone from different parts of the worlds connecting to the same place but everyone can play with everyone in exchange.

The ability to choose would be better if that is possible sir.

The european servers can be found in ear i erd you need to tip them very well n ave bin nown to av a laff when the lag kiks in but all can av a game and ave gud fun

how about add more servers an make it like it was Before Giving the players the freedom of pic the server as they will... borimor , vimy and so on ???

As i remember it... there was Always the chioce to move from one server to an other , you could by yourself make a choice stay in a laggy server or move to an other less laggy one. Searching for friends on another continents play some game together an "ave a laff wit a gud frend" for a while.
Shortly the freedom to make your own decessions if stay in a laggy game or just go to a server that was less occupied...


( btw there can be a big difference if you choice to play ww1 or ww2 as it is right now. .. in speed an in lagness. Sometimes is like fly in syrup on ww1 and youmove to ww2, and the speed is back again... or vice versa... same goes for lag and for lost conns. )

Servers are us has a two for one deal right now. But you have to pay shiping and handling seperate. Right now if ya buy one they will throw in a free slim jim..

Doggy, stop talking nonsense. To me adding another server is a couple of hours just to set it up. I used to have many more servers because google and Microsoft provided them for free. They don't do anymore. It's over 2000$ a month per machine if you want a fast connection that can handle all different players. I don't have that money. In fact the game doesn't even make much more than that a month as of right now. Before when the game was sponsored supposedly it was much better (based on your theory). Guess what? It was making way less money than today. So better service did not equal more income. I think you guys believe this game is making thousands of dollars every month but it is not the case and I was keeping it running from my own savings. I stopped doing that. It works with the budget it has. More subscribers equals more servers. Less subscribers equals less servers.

The last bill from Amazon I got was less than $50 for the whole month.
Google? Less than $400 for the month. Yeah, over 1000 downloads per day on google because the game is free there. Less than $400 a month because very few people pays a dime but everyone asks for better service. If everyone that plays paid a $1 the game would make enough money to have 30 servers running, but it is simply not the case and if I ask for $1 I get tons of complains on the reviews/forum saying that I'm "money grubbing".

Again, go back to df1. Better game right? that's what many say. Guess what, millions of downloads, making less money than Dogfight Elite. Microsoft and Google were not interested on sponsoring servers any more because they only saw people abusing the free service (never paying).

Simple as that. Stop assuming things you have no clue about. The game would had been shut down years ago if it wasn't for the simple fact that I like it myself to keep it running. I'm grateful for people that subscribe, but I cannot afford to keep putting my savings up every single month at a loss. I tried for years and not enough people subscribe due to the huge amount of free games out there. Once you ask for money, most just go to another free one. So the servers are what I can pay for. Nothing less, nothing more.

I believe its time to HELP promote the game, we have talented artist here that can create simple eye catching promos that we could spread around social media and look for blogs and web pages related to gaming or air planes that we could post there. We should create a thread with ideas, promos, and the possible places to post and see if we can make a difference.

because if you do that and there are not enough players you will end up alone every single game.
Right now the reason lot of people finish in empty games are because WW1 has 2 servers (Europe/usa), WW2 has 2 servers (Europe/usa)
that makes for 4 possible different rooms and many times you end up alone.
If you keep adding options, you'll end up with 2 people per room maximum, even if you know before hand where they are playing, and everyone playing one single type of game until boredom. You want to play capture the flag but everyone wants to collect points on zep mission? you'll die before you get someone to play with you, just check the ww2 games since I gave the option to choose sides... every, I mean E V E R Y single time I join there, i'm alone on one side. THAT was the reason I didn't want to allow for that choice of team for years because that's exactly what I was afraid it would happen. Many players are just point harvesting while everyone else gets penalized for that.

I know, i'm just stupid, I don't listen to anybody, and when I do, well... apparently I was right and then people complain about the changes.

So the problem is not that you need more options to connect (as originally requested), the problem is that you have already way too many options for the amount of people playing at a given hour.

In short, i'm so tired of having to explain every single decision I make like everyone else in the planet knows how the game works and should work better than me. I make decisions based on what I see, the facts I get checking the game for years. The only problem is to bring income, so that I'm super happy to listen to how. Adding more servers, more options, more planes, more whatever features do not work to bring more income. The game already has a trillion things requested from people.

I am glad that you share your struggles to bring us this game because most people like myself have no idea what it takes to do it. Your subscription price is so low that it amazes me that more people don't subscribe, we literally pay pennies per hour for something that keeps us occupied for probably way too much of our time. Some of us probably get it for less than a penny per hour.

I know what you are saying but an app needs to be well funded in order to be enhanced.
There are some players in the game who pride themselves on achieving goals by not ever purchasing coins, planes or the various upgrades.
Players should be encouraged to do the opposite. Buy so,e coins to get that mid or top tier plane plane. Get a new tank. Buy some more lead if that's what you like. It is this type of funding that will ultimately lead to improvements.
If you look at the pricing model of games like World of Tank Blits, you will notice that upgrades require some form game currency and real currency. In gaming terms, gold coins equates to real currency and silver coins equates to currency earned in game. Players buy gold and earn silver. Both or some conversion of gold is required to purchase upgrades
Some combination of the two would probably be a better funding model in the long run.

This merely a suggestion.
BTW, I just bought 1.5 million 750,000 coin. I needed to save some for my subscription.
