Being that this is a diverse game, give me your New Year's traditions for good luck. In the Southern United States, you have to eat back eyed peas for good luck. Here's my New Year's Day black eyed peas of cheesy grits!

In Scotland, we have something called First Footing. It's where you visit your neighbours just after midnight. It's more common in rural Scotland than in larger towns.

We also celebrate New Year's Eve as well as New Year's Day. New Year's Eve is what we call Hogmany. Interestingly, our "New Year" is actually the second of January rather than the first. The second is a holiday up here, but is a normal day in the rest of the UK.
