Playing as a squad or individually for the squad, both gets reward for the efforts put in.

Individual efforts brings recognition from the squad and collective efforts bring recognition for the squad.

To me both are equally worth recognition but I’ll go for collective effort as it brings the feeling of belongingness, sharing and caring among the members. It surely keeps all members motivated and as such any goal is possible with least but collective effort.

The way the rankings work now, personal world rank has no reflection of skill whatsoever. Squad wars has a modicum of how a squad ranks against other squads because it compares kills and deaths in addition to points for wins. It also has little reflection of point farming empty games, nor does it give any credit for slaughtering squadless noobs.

Zup has said he will be adding more to what is considered in squad ranking. If you have ideas of what could improve squad wars feel free to make suggestions. He does listen. Saying it's all worthless is... worthless.

Great point McFate--it's a work in progress.

I'd like to see some of the smaller squads be able to form true alliances with other squads they choose. There are a number of small squads who may not want to be consumed by larger squads---but they would like to fly with them due to similar sq rules (not gunning down noobs or team-killing etc.)

Alliances could be set at 1 or 2 squads only. Hopefully some of the talented noobs in WW1 will form new squads that are fun to fly with!

I agree with dire but I wonder if u can can send a request for an alliance as the same as joining a sqard?

Good point, Dark!

Perhaps Zup can make squads have a "join" versus "alliance" option. The settings would link the two together adding points as one.

There were allied forces in both world wars and would add to the experience in Elite!
