I want to find posts explaining the rank and point system in game and on the forum, but not about squadron ranking. I tried using the search button, but I couldn't find anything but squadron threads and posts about squadron rank. Theres no hope of me finding what I want to find (it seems) without spending hours upon hours searching through hundreds and hundreds of posts. Why is it, that in all search things, all options for narrowing stuff down is by only showing options that are ______. What they should really do is give you options to select what specific things you DON'T want to see.

Just keep trying new key words. Also you can search for posts by different authors. " [NLR] The Blue Fighter " happens to be the unofficial keeper of records for many dogfight statistics. To find this post I searched under his name, in thread titles and "points needed". There were several results (lol) but I just scrolled down to find it. Also, if you are looking for something that may not be recent be sure to change the search parameters from "a year ago" "and newer" to "Any time"

point breakdown is complicated and you should probably PM blue fighter or Zuperman.

Point system varies.

Killing a air marshal will be more the killing a noob obviously.
Bombing a hanger or bombing a tank.
killing a pilot in a cute and winning a game all have there own points structure.

I do remember Zup listing the point breakdown when Elite was in Beta but I have no Idea what refinements have been implemented. This is a good topic thread and I am also interested how the point breakdown is at the moment.

What each level from say 17 up to moraf is?
