While everyone else have been formulating ideas for more plane costimization i have been thinking 'wouldnt it be cool to have bombers?' Heres how i see it working; bombers are slower and way less agile then fighters but carry a bigger bomb load which is upgradeable. They have 3 different camera views (changed with the action camera button on the top right) #1 1st person pilot. #2 3rd person pilot. #3 1st person gunner. The gunner mechanic is similar to first person tanking, with the crosshairs and the fire button. The gunner will not fire independntly at reds, it must be controlled manually. The four bombers i had in mind for df elite are the R.E 8 and the Airco DH.4 for the Allies and the Gotha G.2 and the Albatross G.3. Let me know what you think!

yea I had a idea for diff mission.....

each side has 3 or 4 barrage ballons that u got to destroy....

u have to get certain amount hits on each 1 ...like killin the zep...

I no it nothing extravagant ..but thought keep it simple to implement

no but i have heard way back in the old dogfight you coupd fly under the map!

when they changed the maps, apple players could fly under the map since the android players had a different ground level. Allows apple players to sneak underground where android payers couldn't get them. You needed a mix of devices on each team to even it out.

I've tried adding bombers several times during the years (there is even a "type" label on the airplanes descriptions that says "fighter" because that would be changed to "bomber" when a bomber was selected) but it's easier said that done, specially when other more important things kept popping up.
Still, I don't lose hope some day I will be able to add bombers. I even had some 3d models ready for a long long time.

What if both sides had a zep on the zep mission? Each side would have to protect and destroy a zep.

I thought about that one but it has a whole class of problems by design and the obvious one that both zeps would arrive and bomb at the same time and it would be pretty random who gets their hangars bomber first

Randoms ok.
A lot of my shooting is pretty random anyway!

(They could go at speeds dependent on how many engines left)

As was said earlier, in a way we have "bombers" now, the more bombs you are carrying the slower you go.
What we don't have is the independent view gunner. Sort of like a flying tank view.
Probably need to make it need more hits to down them, 'cause your going to take more hits if you have to juggle between evasive action, and shooting.
