It leads you to question yourself. "Was it ever there?" "Am I losing my mind?" That is why I screen shot all kinds of things. At my age sanity cannot be taken for granted. I'm still not consistent. For example, I think I was in a heated exchange, but I don't see it anywhere. Now I realize, I am simply going mad.
