Zup a solution to the insults and WC troll.



It seems like one of the everlasting problems of the game is the insults, name calling, trolling and lack of friendly communication on WC and during game play. This ruins the experience of the game causing much distraction and it also promotes bulling to the lowest form. Yes, we have adults playing here but if you go see the video post page that zuperman made as part of the game, u will see that we have many children playing the game. They to want to play and enjoy the game and this kind of unruly behavior ruins the experience not only for those young ones but for many of us that are only looking to play and have fun with friends. Sadly, there are people that enjoy having this poor behavior and they do not care at all about the game that zuperman has created, they only care to cause problems. This very sadly takes away from the game experience in general. Why? Because we come here to play not to get insulted.

I know it is very hard and almost impossible for zuperman to control this things, but now you can’t report players in game, and if you try to take pics in Elite you get kick out of game. It seems that what this player are looking forward is for everyone to lose the talking part of the game; and a no chat game would solve all the problems. But that would also take away from the magic and uniqueness of this game.

What I am suggesting to you Zuperman is to eliminate World Chat, leave only team chats, that way the trolls would have no platform were to perform. If they move to troll on individual teams, they will get kick buy their MORAF. Game play chat, should only be limited to team chat, when you play talk only to your team mates, that way no insults will be toss from side to side and will not be a distraction during the game. I think this would help to end the bulling, name calling, insults and drama we see day in and day out.

I Know you have lots of things on your plate this days, but this is an idea you should consider, mold or at least test. On the mean time I think we all as a community and friends should unite and call out this kind of behavior and look for ways to help each other out to promote a better playing environment.

WC is a great place to have some good talks with others, but since this game is free, anyone can jump in and start talking rude towards others. The best thing to do is to ignore them, but not everyone responds like that, and sometimes, if they are insulted, it can get really messy. Sometimes the troll gets away and the nice player ended up being muted. It would be good if players can block those troll's messages for a limited time (I don't think a permanent block is good) so their messages cannot be seen by the players who blocked them. They are not actually muted and they can still chat, but if they are doing nothing but insulting others, the tendency is that almost everyone will block him, almost similar to a mute. The only downside is accidentally blocking other good player's messages. Anyway, this is just a suggestion.

That's actually a great idea. The trolls have always been around, but lately seem to be bent on ruining the game.

I'd also suggest a limit to name changes-- or a once a year fee to change your name. Far too many come back as some recycled trolls. That makes it tough to find the new and talented players that deserve a chance to join and have fun.

Dire, I love you man, but that's a TERRIBLE idea! Yucking it up with the Reds is one of my favorite things! Oh, AND, if I come into a game with just me and some noob, I really enjoy letting them have at me with a few pointers. Can't do that if I only have team chat.

As far as the name changes go, you're talking about people that get banned and rejoin under a different name. That's not solving anything. I think there's currently a 24 or 48 hour wait on changing names? I think that should be good enough.

Point taken and you're right about reds chatting. And I often help a red noob fly and give instructions.

I think that is why we have to have these open conversations to figure out the best way to get rid of the trolls. I'm back to just killing WC. Like AI said it's free and anyone can blab.

Just today I got some culinary tips by reading some of HB's posts. Yum! The way games end without time to congratulate is unfortunate (but then again it probably prevents a lot of insults too) WC is always a place for "GG" after a good one. New players often ask questions and can often get a straight answer...sometimes not. It's a double edged sword with players who aren't subscribed; on one hand it's something to pass the time, on the other hand trolling passes the time too.

Noobs and trolls aren't the only problem either, often it's an established player who has strong opinions about how to play the game who just feels the need to trash on someone; though it seems to me with the shorter games, people aren't getting as worked up when someone does something that ends a game unexpectedly.

...no solutions here, just thoughts.

i think world chat should be available free at first like subscription for noobs and then it goes to a subscriber use only people wont pay to troll emery was back a few weeks ago i had a few pms from him he was on chat if you dont like what he has to say ignore him hes there just to bate you and a lot just fall the trick

I rarely comment on matters concerning WC trolling and such. Here is my take. I have been playing for almost a year now. When I first started out I was completely clueless and terrible. Could barely take off or land. When I finally got the nerve to go on WC to get help(Which I so desperately needed) I found a unlimited friendly resource of knowledge and support. Many older veterans would share, guide, and poke fun. I got the privilege of meeting many fine folks thru WC. I got drafted to Wolf Pack. (Thank you Dunc7). One of our main squad rules is to not engage in online WC fighting, bullying, swearing etc. I believe this is the most important and squad defining traits the Wolf Pack puts into practice. In all the time I have played, I can only count 3 times I have had to deal with confrontations.

1. I had words with Steely Dan, we dog fought and he whooped me. I took the beating and moved on.
2. I had words with Strach regarding who was lagging. I stepped out of line and said some things out of character. After game I apologized and we moved on.
3. In game with Micheal Kane from MOM squad there was a couple of players on his side tem killin, swearing and being assssss necks. Micheal and myself had a great time reeling them in and ended in having a epic match.

My Point is, Why mute WC, Some one is a troll, so what. A troll is a troll. People talk sex. So what. Ignore it, move on. The best thing to do is just have a good chat with your Friends. A side ways comment comes in, so what. Ignore it. Be like a duck. Let the water just bead of your back
