Greetings!

I see the Forum button now is sometimes (not always) the Vault button.

Will the Forum button go away and be replaced with Vault?

If so, can we have some way to direct new players to the Forum to see the different squads.

WC is no longer a place where new players can chat and get answers. As many here know, it's now full of talk a 10 year old kid should never read. At one point, I believe Zup mentioned many games do not have WC.

Could it be possible to replace WC with a link to Forum and our Squad pages? We could still have Squad chat where we can talk to squad mates.

Just tossing out ideas. Appreciate hearing what others think or may know.

Yeah that is a great idea for WC Dire . Squad chat by all means . We also have in game chat which most games I play don't have .

on your "stats-screen" there is "forum-button" and on the "who is online" there is the "vault-button"

so the different screens now have different buttons. I can see it being one more step for a new player to visit the forum, join a squad, etc. One more layer of confusion.

I like the idea of WC. Its great to be able to go there and chat about in-game experiences with those on different squads instantly. However, I have seen just how bad it can be as well. It's a shame folks cannot control themselves and keep the convo clean and lively at the same time. Worse still is when zup installs a way to control it by players reporting issues, folks use it to ban or mute folks just to be funny. Adolescent humor, marvelous.

I have thought about it and decided I can live without WC, if it comes to that. That would be a better reason to avoid WC than just "a bunch of childish nonsense" which is my current reason for avoiding it. Too bad, it's a neat feature.

Perhaps lack of WC would send more folks to the forum? (I know, be careful what you wish for)

I've done more recruiting using game chat these days and lead them to Forum. CC is right, that is a nice feature.

Keep world chat bleep the curse words and have a button that makes players not able to see the trolls chat

Can WC contribute to lag? I mean with all the typing and muting going on does that take up server bandwidth? I can't comment much else except to say I've had WC switched off for well over a year, don't miss it one bit.

There is an option to turn WC off in the settings.

I like WC. Get a few mods that can lay down a 2-4 hour mute boom. Publish some standards, and enforce em. I'll drop the hammer on some fools!

Good points made. Bingo, that would work unless you're new to the game and have questions. When I first started I had a lot of questions and quite a few Mom's had the answers. I remember when tanks fell from the sky--crazy!

Bware that is a very good question! Sure would like to know the answer if it contributes to lag.

As far as I know Zup removed the Auto mute off the report button in WC . You can report but as I read in a prior thread Zup goes through them and decides on who gets what . This was to stop delinquents just pressing the button for no reason . This would be another good reason for Zup to do away with WC as it would free up more time for him to advance the game which is why we are all here ...ok why most of us are here . And as Bware said it may even help with lag issues . Dire you are correct that recruiting is done more with game chat or private PMs . I would never recruit off WC as the trolls come out like clouds on a sunny day then try to ruin any good efforts or conversations that true players are trying to have . I had to laugh yesterday as the trolls now use the players list to try disrupt or anger others with their stupidity . A new account was developed to register [M] CC DUMMY as a player in game . This account had no kills no deaths so I felt special that someone would have gone to so much trouble for lil Ol me and it seemed to coincide with a post I left on a certain thread Have a great day all and see you in the sky's .

I BARELY use world chat anymore only to recruit most use squad chat or play THE FREAKING GAME
