Today i spoke to Davy and Sharon (his wife)
He has been diagnosed with lung disease along with diabetes. Tomorrow at 9:30a.m. he will be starting pulmonary therapy for 12 weeks every Tuesday and Thursday. and he will be more susceptible to respiratory infections and viruses we ask the whole community to pray for him

Wishing you and your loved ones the needed strenght to get through this, and a speedy recovery.

Since religion is not supposed to be a Dogfight thing (and vice versa) we do not make a habit here of quoting scripture. Davy, I know however that you can appreciate this more than anything else, and you ARE Dogfight....Why not make an exception?

I have spend countless hours trying to shoot down this deadly pilot, then I spent countless hours speaking to this great man on the phone. Picking his brain, trying to figure out how he does, what he does. He mentored me and made me a better pilot. One day he called me and said he was planning a trip to Florida (to visit an old friend in Clearwater), I told him he would be passing close to my house. He came to my house with his beautiful wife and had lunch with my family, it worked out that the War Doctor happened to be in Florida (visiting his mother), so he stopped by also. I consider myself lucky and honored to meet both of these great players. Davy, you and your family are in my prayers, keep us posted sir Crockett.

I m rarely in here. Read this post by chance. Sorry to hear this news of this great player and fren. Thoughts and prayers are with u sir Davy. At the same saying hello to all who still remember me . Jst dont know how the avatar name suddenly change to tbis one. Like davy i have retired too after the third moraf as Dfly. Missed u all but everything has and will come to and end. For most of my time here, Davy Crockett was the face of Dogfight. For reasons I cannot explain, I had no issue with him filling my plane full of lead on a regular basis. In games he was always personable, witty, and just downright fun to fly with. Though I have never met him like Hulk, I cannot help feel I know the guy to some extent, and this news is troubling. Davy, Mrs. Viper and I will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Sir Crockett I wish you all the best my Friend.

When I first joined the [M]isfits and was going through my Evals, which most of you know you have to shoot down the Officer evaluating you 3 times in a row, Davy was the #1 ranked Pilot in Dogfight. I joined a game to find him and Sir Hulk on the red side. Somehow I managed to get a burst in and shot Sir Crockett down. Then he typed two words that scared me to death, "That's one."

I learned a bunch from Sir Crockett in that Eval. Not long after My Dad passed away. Sir Crockett was one of the first to call. A few days later I walked to the mail box to find a card from Davy and his Wife. I will never forget that.

So here's to a great Man and his speedy recovery!

So sorry to hear of this problems you are having; I will have you in my prayers and ask God that might he please give your health and strength for you to get all well soon.
You have to be strong and keep good spirt to be able to get thru all this. You have a strong and loving angel by your side, your wife is your pillar and she will always be there for you. These things happen in life you just have to follow instructions and adapt, and you are the king of the frontiers, so you can do this!!

Follow your doctors and wife instructions and you will be fine. Sr. Davy in the nice person here in the DF community, a friend and a mentor to everyone here. Always with a smile and a joke I am so privilege to have him as a friend. Many blessings to you sr. Davy, your lovely wife and everyone in your family. Be patient this will pass we all have you on our prayers.

Sr. Davy always let the spirit of that young kid that lives inside you guide you and give you the strength and the smile that will make everyday a special one in your life. SMILE and BE WELL!!!!!!

Sir Davy, my thoughts and prayers are with u and ur family for what u are dealing with. I haven't been on lately, but I do check forum from time to time.. I was deeply saddened when I found this thread. Davy was always fun to fly with in game, he always gave me advice whether I was red or blue, and was always a barrel of laughs, and as a few have already said, yes he's a df legend! Well wishes davy!
