There has been a lot of different competitions and tournaments in DF. Has there ever been

THE BEST BANNER IN DOGFIGHT. competition. Or Who has the best banner. I would like to see that happen. Any Ideas on how to make this happen would be great.

That is unfortunate. Let's see how this thread is received and what kind of Ideas are posted. Maybe we can revisit the this. I see so many amazing Banners out there. It would be so cool to see even a Gallery started of the Top DF banners or something to celebrate the artistic skill out there

Cypher your making great thread topic! Keep it up, and your right I have seen lots of great banners and would love to see what is posted here!!

Maybe instead of choosing a champ this could just be a thread of banners that players found great for one reason or another since so many people have made so many great banners it's impossible to say there is a champ.
I like so many, Ped's hand drawn cartoons, Kestral's Kamikazi banner, Rez's black and white DF scenes, Disrupts out of the frame style banners. There are also great banners by Dog and HB and Zeek and Luna and Slenderman and so on and so on, even just the slogans wig used to put on every MOM banner were great. I think my favorites are Fly Magic's "and for his next trick he will cut you in half...with bullets" and I think it was J4ff's "a e i o u and sometimes die." I'm sure I'm missing a bunch and I like the idea but we have so many great contributors of art to our forum I think it doesn't quite give the appreciation that I think the community has to have one winner, I would rather see everyone's favorites and hear why. My two cents...

WELL WHIP I AGREE but the best banner i saw was by you Zblack wizard banner (just saying)im very proud of my banners because it is a art form and some of the slogans i made up myself because no one knows what they want to say . some folks don't event know what they image want they send a request can you make me a banner >sure what you want i ask >reply Dunno anything just make one lol. That leaves it too google put the name of the pilot in google see what comes up in images then look though the vastness of 1000s of images

on another note i advise all banners be backed up by their owners by copy and save to your device i have had requests from some as they deleted the link then they are asking if i still have their banner please save your own on your own device (i may not be here tomorrow !)

As a banner maker myself (I've made approximately 99% of Lafayette's banners) I believe that Whip is the best overall banner maker.. although there truly are some other very talented banner makers out there!!

I'm always impressed with the designs and creativity put behind each and every banner. Over the years, it's been impressive to watch.

I like Whip's idea too. Show them all off like in a Dog Fight Art of Squadron's Gallery.

There are so many beautiful and creative banners out there! It would be hard to choose a single artist.

I agree! Some incredible artistic ability on display.

Well seeing how nothing is happening with this it seems and I don't want to take it over so if players want I will post the whole collection of what I have made for Dogfight... but I will have to make it a slide show or some thing since I think I have made over 300 and if I include other art maybe 400...just a rough count...and you can only post so many pics per post...like 8 or something it would take waaaay too long.

Also if anyone doesn't want their items I have made for them posted I won't. Also the items I would post are only the ones used publicly by the person who requested the item(s) not any pieces people wanted as a joke, or for whatever reason at the time. There aren't many of those anyway just wanted to add that if it wasn't used by you as your own choice it won't be posted

You have my permission for sure. I kind of let the thread fade off as it seemed people more or less just wanted to see a gallery instead of trying to hold a banner championship. But I would love to see a Whiplash art collection, slide show
