im choosing my new WW2 plane cant find any one in games so i choose WW1 and there are loads playing
is this because not many players have WW2 planes yet due to the high cost? as only WW2 planes can fly against WW2 ?

Only WW2 planes fly against each other. Usually when I do go in with my WW2 planes I'm alone, so I typically go back to WWI. I might go more into WW2 after I get them fully upgraded, so far only have been able to add on point of extra speed on one plane.

Bought all 4 plane's and fully upgraded all 4 max speed is 104 mph with 2 bombs not very fast for a WW2 plane compared to the ww1 plane's, 250 rounds of ammunition not very effective when half are gone by the time you pass your own hill if you have in coming bombers. Now correct me if i'm wrong but didn't advancements in technology during WW2 leap forward and not backwards? did they forget to upgrade the engine's or something? then send them out with less Ammo

Yes technology did improve, but it's up to Zup to determine what happens in this game, since he said it's not suppose to be a flight simulator.

From the sound of it, why not throw it in with the WW1 planes? It's slow enough. Is it a lot more maneuverable?

Personally I will rarely use either of my 2 WWII planes. I fell in love with this game as a fan of WWI aircraft & the spirit of those pilots of yesteryear.

If I wanted to fly WWII planes there are far better games out there that include realistic flight physics as well as rudder controls and MMP historic warzones handling hundreds of players simultaneously.

But I like biplanes.. and the history of squadrons like Lafayette and Richthofen's Flying Circus & Hat in the Ring squadron, etc. so you won't too often find me in the WWII missions.

I'm really trying to not sound like a troll here (Gunnerzz has got that covered ), but if it's not a flight simulator maybe it shouldn't be advertised as a "multiplayer flight simulator!"

It seems to be a pretty safe bet that slowing the WWI planes keeps them slower than WWII planes, and slowing the WWII planes keeps them from running out of map a lot easier than having separate, larger maps for the WWII planes . . . even if the speeds aren't very realist or satisfying.

NO FREAKING WONDER I'M ALONE MOST OF THE TIME IN ELITE!!!!
How was I supposed to know that? With the money that was migrated over, I bought the top plane from each side and was able to upgrade each about 80%.
Of course I'm going to get the best planes that I can, and every time I go into Elite I'm wondering where the hell everyone is.
I would have gotten WW1 planes - sheesh I'm irritated.

I don't care much for the game, but I'm really trying to give it a chance and give Zup a chance. He created an awesome game in DF1 and I'm hoping he can come thru with Elite.
Plus, Eagle has been a big advocate and I've always respected him.

please pay attention to the speedomete in the new planes as compared to the 'levels' you can upgrade them to.

currently the max 'upgrade level' for the wwii planes is 2 levels, but this yields with one bomb a top speed in kph quite faster than the top tier wwi planes w/ one bomb.

the scale is different, that is why the two eras cannot be mixed.

Soon they'll be more people. Remember a few weeks ago there was no people even on WWI games.
