If you can see their name, just line up with the center of it, start shooting at a point just below that, and walk rounds in until you start getting hits.

couldnt see nothing they show on radar and when they go off screeen the arrow appears at side of screen but cant see the tank at all im so frustrated with this new game

Trees have these things called leaves, they provide cover to troops underneath.

If all else fails, I'll try backing off, and coming back around to give myself a little time and distance to acquire the target.

• If the tank is traveling you may see him move through a gap,
• If he's shooting you may see where the rounds are coming from, or
• If one or more other blues have seen him, they may be strafing or bombing his position, and you can use their targeting as a reference.

We've got some really devil may care lumberjacks out there that will fly their plane right into a tank's hatch trying to score a kill, so it's not hard to find him that way . . . just look for the burning planes in the middle of the woods.

I've shot a few down and bombed one. It's a bigger challenge than it used to be, but I like it.

Not had much luck with tank in trees, but working on it!

Earlier tonight I killed GhostWolf and Steelygraydamn while they were both in the briar patch.

It's a challenge, but it's a great addition to the game.

Personally I hate tanks, and I always have. Since starting DF I have hated driving tanks and killing tanks. I am a decent tank buster, but Thats not the point. I joined this game to "dogfight" and that is what I do. If I wanted a tank game I would have gotten a tank game.

I've had most success by gaining altitude, then vertical dive on them, cut engine to give more dive time, and shoot from straight above. That's how us gannets get our fish!
(Don't forget to restart engine as you pull out of the dive !!!!!!)

If you're here for the planes then don't the tanks add more gaming experience? You don't have to choose to use a tank but the tanks bring a whole different "mode" to the flying. More things to get good at...

there is little more frustrating than a KTC game, where you take off from your boat and approach the reds, then they proceed to gleefully ALL get shot down by your team, tank, and scurry for the woods like hungry rats.

i know, there are ways to avoid this, but the whole situation is more annoying than fun. "kill them in the chute" - sure, if you're not already too close. "kill them before they get into the woods." obviously, but these planes are obviously not designed to hunt slow moving ground targets.

to cut off my own rant, the new tank situations w/ the forest terrain are challenging, which i don't mind, but the tools and timing left to planes to deal with them are few, and having to face it over and over again like a petulent child can get aggravating.

you must fly on both sides of the forest and shoot by lados.Suerte !! among the trees is difficult to have some patience, you can also slow down and go for the pumps with the trees.
