I just reinstalled elite and played a couple games. This is how I feel between the comparison of elite and DF1. Some positive some negative but my honest opinion. The planes I feel are definitely an improvement . I feel if they were just a touch larger they would be perfect. The addition of trees on the battlefield was a great idea. The smaller gun sights are a big plus wow you just can not improve perfection. The controls like the fire and bomb buttons in my opinion are different and will take some getting use to but are fine. The one negative that can definitely be improved and probably the most important are where the planes are located . Too low under the name with no yellow rank symbol. The yellow rank symbol above the name enables opponents to center the target without any guessing. If the yellow rank symbol was added to the top center of the name and the plane moved higher similar to DF1 this game would be a homerun. Zup in my opinion has done a great job with this game and is obviously a very brilliant person. There is no possible way to satisfy everyone but the effort put forth in creating elite is impressive to say the least.

Yep just turn on the training wheels, aka squared target. Actually I do need that if I play on my phone otherwise I can't see anything.

I've been guilty of turning my nose up at the box myself; REAL men pilots don't use training wheels.
.

Of course I've seen a lot of remorse over where the planes are in relation to the name and the loss of the rank badge (Not picking on May Day, he's not the first to bring this up).

I know how it was in DF1, but a.) I'm not interested in yet another which is better DF1 or Elite debate , and b.) DF1 is going, going, gone so moot point.

My question is this:

Isn't centering the plane just below the name with a big hazard yellow rank placard centered over it using training wheels too?

.

ZUP. I have squared target chosen and still have trouble seeing the planes. I am older much like alot of others and my eyesight is not that great. I do play on a phone only. I feel if this one thing was changed it would bring many players to download , keep and subscribe to elite. I don't want to sound negative but I hear many people complain about this issue and is understandable why. Thanks for your reply zup it is appreciated. I am like many others which want to see this great game enjoyed and played by all.

EAGLE
I wish you would just shutup.

I would have to agree with may day .I use an.HTC even with the square there is nothing to shoot at until the planes get close .the one thing that does drive me nuts and turns me off of elite is head on shooting.when I shoot my bullets look just like df 1 straight out in a line there is no drop that can be seen .when shooting at a plane from.the side you can see the drop and adjust your angle.if zup can figure out how to show the drop in head to head game would be fine .and maybe give the tank.some balls to move and actually fire for range .at the German base you can still hit hangers from.that little hill but at the allies base you need to be halfway down the hill not the top like it used to be .
