Hulk say, "Please no time limit". At least make it an hour. Hulk is barely warmed up in 20 minutes. I'm sure most of the "old" timers will agree.

War has no artificial time limits. This seems quite contrived to me, and I am unsure as to what is gained.

I have mixed feelings. I've been stuck in games that last hours where I'm starving (wolves need to eat!) but can't justify leaving my team. I would say, 20 min seems too short. A good game could be rolling and tough to watch it shut down and be over.

I agree with Sir Hulk, an hour would be good.

I rarely see a Hangar bombed in the first 20 min of a game in Elite. Maby this will change with the changes Zup plans on implementing to the plane such as Bomb weight and speed. I agree 20 mins is just a warm up. 1hr would be a better time limit.

I would rather have game time shortened by making the planes and tanks more powerful, or by making targets easier to destroy, rather than implementing a time limit. I do think the games are lasting too long though, and many become a stalemate. Maybe the changes Zup mentioned minus the timer would be enough to fix the never ending games that occur in Elite.

I'm not saying I love three hour marathons either but I sure don't mind the odd long game. If you don't have time, you can always leave.

I still get screen freezes within 5mins . So my games last between two and five minutes these days anyways :lol: :whistle:

20 minutes is just way to short a time limit Zup. that is really fast on a game. I prefer no time limit myself but as some others mentioned maybe at least one hour.

I would agree 20 mins is way to short of time frame. In 20 mins I might get 2 kills vs 15 or so losses. So please give me more time that way my Kill vs losses ratio doesn't look as bad

time limit will make things interesting, a can see a mad scramble of anything does in the last 5 min to try to force a result. This will make team play critical.

i can see immediately where the idea for a time limit came from. i will explain.

Zuperman needs more players to subscribe for DFE to start earning $$. if games are limited to 20min, you have to join a new game more often. those who subscribe will have no difficulty, but those who do not must endure the waiting period, or watching the ads, much more often than before. this will hopefully encourage more players to pay the subscription fee.

as one who eagerly pays the subscription, i think this is a fantastic idea to fuel future development of the game.

Or if the 20 minute game limit doesn't work out, it could be changed to a 20 (or 15) minute limit for non-subscribed players. SO that that paying customers can play long, bloody drawn out games til the bitter end :)

Implementing df so that it pays and makes a profit is great just dont exclude the needs of some longer time players, short games certainly for non subs, for the rest keep the choice of a longer game at least, or it may begin a feeling of dispodency something you dont want with the bulk of the payers. ( that wasnt meant to be players!) Fantastic work Zup never enjoyed a game as much as this.

los juegos largos son demasiado agobiantes y 45 minutos seria más que suficiente para acabar un juego,ya que las bombas pesarán menos y llegarás antes,y serán más destructivas,yo usare todo lo que este en mi mano para ganar los juegos,eso seguro y será más parecido a una verdadera guerra.Cada uno que elija como jugar,también esa medida apoyaría a los nuevos,al menos no caerían tanto y se ganarían más juegos y más puntos en menos tiempo,tendría su lógica sin duda.




long games are too burdensome and 45 minutes would be more than enough to finish a game, because the bombs will weigh less and arrive earlier and be more destructive, I'll use everything in my power to win games, that's for sure and will be more like a real guerra.Cada one who decides how to play, this measure also support new, at least not fall much, and more games and win more points in less time, would certainly logic.

It's in testing phase, please don't panic yet lol
The idea is to modify the game so that they don't last 2 to 3 hours which is not uncommon these days. So in theory 20 minutes should be sufficient for most games after the changes. But again, it's a testing phase and let's see if it's better or worse and then adapt it on continuous updates.

I also thought that maybe a better way would be to limit the time only on phones but let it run on desktop/tablets for longer periods since most of the long game complains come from people who play from a phone. And then obviously split the players between desktop/phone games so they play separately.

I play on 2 phones and one tablet and that is one thing that I have had a problem with. I can play for hours straight on tablet but on phone I only get about an hour of non stop play on a full battery.

Creo que el élite funciona bastante bien,cada vez mejor,pero todo necesita un tiempo eso está claro.Ahora parece que el élite consume menos batería que antes,los gráficos del élite son muy superiores por eso las baterías duran menos.Pero en general va bastante mejor.Una pregunta por que Joaquín se ponen tantos niveles y por que se necesitan tantos puntos?como es posible que para el nivel 33 por.ejemplo se necesiten 470400 o más?hay 47 según me han dicho verdad?.y con que fin?


I think the elite works pretty well, getting better, but it takes time that is claro.Ahora seems the elite consumes less battery than before, the graphics are far superior elite so batteries last menos.Pero generally going rather mejor.Una question that Joaquín many levels and get so many points are needed? as possible to the level needed 33 For.example 470,400 or more? there are 47 as I have told you? .that purpose?

Separating pc players now is not at all a good idea because when you implemented it earlier, most of the time I see empty games (may be due to less pc user in elite and also time zone difference) and as such I shifted to df1. But since you diverted all to one server recently, I can always find good number of players.

My humble request is not to separate pc/phone/ipad users till you see good number of pc users subscribing to elite.

I would rather see you do the testing with an hour limit. Twenty is too short. If its the 2 to 3 hour games that are the problem, that should be more than adequate.

I would prefer to see 45 minutes to an hour instead of the 20 minute cap.

In the past, you would occasionally jump into a game just as someone got the last hangar, sank the carrier, got that 15th kill, etc. and the game would end on you. The odds were that the next game you could get into wouldn't be ending.

With time limits, the odds of a game ending just as you enter it increase; the shorter the limit, the greater the chance. If you're a subscriber, it becomes annoying. If you're a non-subscriber, playing for 1 minute, waiting 5-7 minutes or watching an add, only to enter another game with less than two minutes left of play would get discouraging pretty quickly.

While a few longtime, non-subscribing players might finally be coerced into subscribing, several will continue to play as they always have, and others will get frustrated and wander in search of greener pastures.

I would expect it to have a much greater impact on first time players; quickly frustrating them, and driving them away before they get hooked on the game.

If we do have 20 minute games, could you please upgrade the aircraft speed to a more accurate level? I noticed my ME109 can only muster a sluggish 180-ish kph, when in real life they were known to go 600+ kph. (380 mph) That would speed games up considerably
