If it werent for my curiousity to want to see the new planes and the enjoyable post from them Damn [M]ists, i wouldve been gone alrdy.

Get told via zup that questions shouldnt be asked to him through email, but instead here. Then we dont get answers for months if we even get one at all. When elite first started it was very unplayable but zup was always there working on stuff to improve it. Then more people started paying to play elite. Now zup is seen few and far between. Hmmmmm! Almost feel like our money is paying for something other than the game. Just my opinion. What do i know?

I say either dedicate your time to the game or hang it up and throw it away. Its not something that is self sufficient and needs constant work and upgrades. Creating it and being seen testing new stuff before the old stuff..... and putting new stuff out there before the old stuff is fixed DOES NOT MAKE THE GAME BETTER

New planes look cool. But looking cool and being cool are 2 different. Why show them for 1-2 months w a locked sticker over them?

I would much rather have a smooth running game more right now than more so than a bunch of new stuff we cant even use. Write a solid script and have a strong base for a game to be built on.

Was lookong at world chat. Zup is complaining about people complaining. Maybe we wouldnt be if we would get responses. We all pay for this. So i guess he does read the forum but i guess we dont deserve responses to our questions. Sure he answers some and ues he has answered most of my emails but how many unanswered questions have had people completely frustrated on the forum, where questions are supposed to be asked and answered? And no trey inability to chose maps or servers doesnt mean its all one server. When i click play i can tell the delay in time means different server depending on how long the delay is. I know this because not everyone had the same update at same time and i would ask what server they were in. So yes there are still many empty games while there are other playing in other games in different servers.

Wasnt there a supposed, "road map," for elite when this all came about? Im sure this is another reason people arent happy.

Im not saying it isnt fun. Im saying that its bull that all this is halpening the way it is. Sure i would love to see the new planes, and maps, but i think all the bugs should be fixed first. Otherwise we are gonna have new planes same issues, and thats not cool.

Im not trying to have a pissing match. Just stating my frustrations. Ive been playing another game because elite has become stagnant. Im tired of being in empty games. Its completely boring. And when people do show up they usually get kicked, lose connection or what have you.

Yup same complaint. And i think it will continue to be the same complaint from more than just me because a smoother running game was supposed to be what we have been paying for since the subscriptions started on df1. It was promised to us. No wonder theres the same complaint..

When the server choices disappeared, and were replaced by a list of players online, it was supposed to be so we could see who was online and we could play with our friends. This morning, the list was cc rider, lt dan, hof von hiem, and zuperman. I played 3 games without seeing anyone. And i am talking about getting in an empty game and exiting to try a different game. After 2-3 tries of that i would stay and complete the game and nobody show up. Finally, cc and lt dan showed up in a game. I did get to play with my friends, but why was i not put in a game where the other 4 were playing from the start?

Zup, there is no question i love this game. I believe that elite will be better than the original game. The glitches in the basic elite games need to be solved before it moves on much further to new flashier stuff.

I'm sorry you feel that way but let me clarify a few things:
1) I didn't tell you to ask me questions only on the forum. I said things that are of general interest should be posted on the forum because everyone should be able to participate and read the answers.
2) Elite has made exactly $700~ in 5 months. I don't know what you think this game is making, but it doesn't even cover food for that period of time.
3) I'm working day in and day out on fixes and updates. I don't post here often because... i'm working day in and day out on fixes and updates while replying to the constant daily emails with the same questions (that's why I say ask those in the forum). Just as a proof, it's over midnight here and I'm working on Elite. And 90% of my time is dedicated on working on Elite although it doesn't bring income at this moment.
4) Many of the complains are fixed. They are. I just can't release them because the game runs on Unity and Unity has a huge bug that crashes on tons of devices. It is not that it runs slow or badly, it directly will not even load. I'm waiting on them to send a fix so I can push all the fixes to everyone. I've said it many times already, and I repeat it again. I am waiting on them to be able to release the fixes.

Stop throwing to me all your anger. I have a limit too. I'm also pissed about a situation I have no power on (Unity). I also need a break! If you think I'm stealing your money, it's simple: unsubscribe and move on. It's very insulting you think that's what I'm doing and I don't have to take that. I've been posting at least once a week to notify of everything that it's ongoing on the game and also replying to many of your emails. I don't need to take insults from you, it seems lately most just want to get fixated on the problems and forget all the solutions that have been released throughout the years. Things do not get solved as fast as I wish, that's just life.

You told me to stop asking general questions through email but then say do it on forum so everyone can partake. I get that the problem is you dont respond a whole lot on the forum. So if the questions for you and you hardly ever respond how am i supposed to get it answered?

Yes im a bit upset. Its so much easier to find other players when we have control over what map we play in. Hence why i m waiting to play until they return because theres always a lot of people listed... saying they are online but i only get empty games

The game is running. People can play it. Servers are running 24/7 and I keep looking at them daily. Yes, subscription are there. I said eventually it will phase out.

No, updates are not done on Dogfight because it is literally impossible to do them. Dogfight was done using Unity 4.3 or so. Unity is on version 5.4 right now. What that means is that Unity doesn't release fixes or updates for that version for a long long time already because they are focused on their new releases. Facebook api also has changed, Game center API has changed, Google API has changed, all that old stuff is on Dogfight. So tons of things broken on Dogfight can't be fixed and touching it risks to break even more things.

All the work is being done on Dogfight Elite, and I'm late to all my deadlines, by now it should be running on xbox and with tons of other stuff. But unfortunately I depend on the work of other people (unity, facebook, apple and so on). They also break their stuff from time to time and the stars have to align for a release. Right now there are problems with Facebook not running on Apple TV. For Amazon game circle login in people at the wrong accounts. For Unity crashing all games on kindles, windows 10, windows phone and a whole bunch of android devices. I have to keep track of it all and roll out fixes as soon as I get updates on each platform. But trust me, it's a nightmare sometimes.

Elite for me on my android runs like crappie in all ways no matter what I do and even though you've left df1 alone it still runs better than elite by far!=/

Occasionally I lose connection in an Elite game, or sometimes the app crashes, but it's a rare event.

For the most part I have no issues with Dogfight or Elite, except when it's usually affecting everyone.

Therefore my conclusion is that it's not necessarily the game that's the problem (unless it's Unity affecting other devices), but people's individual devices, or internet connection.

I'm just not playing Elite again until all my points, etc. are transferred over. No use to keep playing but not getting to keep all the points and coin I earn.

i can shed a little light on this; the 'online player' list displays people with DFE active and connected to the 'net, whether they are in fact playing the game or not. also the list seems to be slow to update, i couldn't guess exactly what the lag time is. when i openn DFE and use the forum link to check here, the online player list shows my name, even though i am not playing at that time. i also often join a game to find players flying which i didn't just see in the list.

as with other minor fixes i'm sure this will be addressed when Zuperman has time, after dealing with more major issues.

It's also been nice to see that many forum members have been reading Zup's announcements and relaying that info for those who have been complaining without either reading, understanding or believing zup's explainations.
