Occasionally after respawning there is no gunsight.
Flipping to the other view, and back again brings it back.

You can just touch the screen as well and it will come back.

*Same here. I lose the gunsight frequently. It seems to happen at respawn when I'm killed in chute, tank or when I'm using the keyboard.

* Another issue I notice is that I always have a delay before I can start shooting from the parachute, usually long enough die before I get the ability to fire, while some people are able to start shooting from the chute as soon as their plane is hit. (At first in elite when I got in chute I was turned 90° but now I'm always facing forward.) I don't mind the delay; I think chutes are too deadly anyway, I'd just like it to be an "even playing field" where it is the same for everyone.

Hold the fire button down while you are entering the chute
Same exists for dropping the bomb over the target, you can still release.
Not sure if the above characteristics are intentional or not.

Tank glitch on the carrier still exists in Elite.
Was in a game awhile back with a player who used the glitch to win a btc match.

Never leaves chute is a good practice in either game. Adapting your playing style might also be a good counter measure.
Don't always enter a chute or only enter if you have an advantage.
Don't chute when enemy is already in a chute and waiting.
Wait till plane passes.

Elite is constantly freezing up and booting everyone. Not sure if its a server issue or game bug.

As I chute from plane I comes out side saddle. Most annoying

As I climb out of my hit plane I press fire and the plane guns shoot

There are a lot of phantom hits after respawning. It looks like it happens if reds keep shooting your plane after you've been shotdown but have not stayed in the chute. I've noticed that sometimes if I keep shooting a downed plane and they choose to respawn, I may get several hits where it says "red is immune" but then the immunity ends and I get more hits on their plane....
