Well night let me ask you. Do any of you guys do that to people if they say something that's offensive and not religious by nature? I served the public for over 25 years my faith is a big part of who I am. I protected our constitution and the public for 25 years. I am not going to have anyone tell me what I can say. The next thing is I said a simple prayer quoted a scripture. Pretty bad when that's offensive. What has this world come too? I respect everyone. I respect those that believe different than me. I would never do to you and others what you guys said to me. Tell me what I really did that was so wrong? Would you let someone speak to you this way if you know in your heart that you had that right?

No one was offended and no ones feelings were hurt , except perhaps yours, you are correct we do have inalienable rights , but are your inalienable rights more important than anyone else,s. We all have to show tolerance and understanding of others beliefs , our beliefs may differ but I would fight to the death to defend your right to believe as your conscience dictates.
I cannot forgive you , because you have done nothing that requires forgiveness.
I will not plead for you to stay but I truly hope that you reconsider ,DF would be a lesser place without people like you who are prepared to stand up for themselves , but we are all different and have to accept that and just get along together.

What are you talking about? Don't worry so much about offending others because from what I have seen on the forum no one has been offended. Take a step back and re-examine the conversations that you've had and make sure you really see what you thought was there. I have not seen anything in the threads I have been following that makes me think that anyone is pissed off at you, to the contrary, I see a lot of people that appreciate your posts. Look and see how many thank you's you have received to gauge how much people like what you have to say. These posts don't show tone of voice so sometimes its hard to know how they were meant to sound.

No need to leave Edward. pmoon and I see it the same way, nobody was offended. I think Eagle was trying to say that the topics of both religion and politics tend to solicit large disagreements and therefore should be avoided. However I don't see quoting scripture as a religious debate. As a matter of fact if you had posted the same scripture without pointing out that it was scripture I bet nobody would have even noticed.

Im going to go out on a limb here and invite you to post up a similar thread under Wolf Pack Squadron as was suggested. If there is heat to take I will take responsibility for the thread. Additionally it will have a moderator (me) to help keep anything from escalating or turning into a huge religious debate. Eagle, zup has also said this is our forum and he tries to stay out of it as much as he can.

I have no problem with folks who have faith, regardless of which religion they practice. There are several out there and the messages from them are all positive.

Bottom line; don't leave Edward, and don't let others influence your actions. Just be yourself.
