"Let's Roll," a war shout that I have been using since I first started Dogfight, actual has a meaning behind it. During 9/11, a fourth plane was about to crash into the white house, that is, until some brave men took charge and redirected the plane into a field. The last words of one of these men was, "Let's Roll!" Then they charged in and saved the day, at the cost of their own lives. So when I say "let's roll" my intent is to save the day, even with the cost of my own life.

I remember that story....

Supposedly the hijackers had used their box cutters to injure a stewardess and drive the passengers into the back of the plane. Some of the passengers used cell phones to call whoever they could and got news of what had happened in New York. Realizing they were not likely to survive they decided to rush the terrorists and prevent them from reaching any chosen target. The last thing heard on one of the cell calls before the passengers made their rush was one man saying "Let's roll!" His family said that that was his phrase. He said it when ever something needed to get done.

My brother-in-law quoted it in his letter to the family when he joined the army in 2002.
