Welcome to DF. Some helpful tips ill pass on. I am still considered a Rookie for the most part and I will share some of my experiences.

1.If in a game, and your taking a really good thumping. Do not throw in the towel and leave. 1st reason is you just abandoned your team. 2nd reason, we all have gone through it(Builds character)
3rd reason, A Moraf from a squad may be testing you to see how you react. Assessing if you will be a good prospect.

2. Avoid trash talk and foul language. It is frowned upon. Young kids are also playing and we need to provide a safe atmosphere void of bullying etc.

3. Visit World Chat after game play often. This is where you will meet more experience players. Ask questions often. 90 % of the pilots are more then happy to share there wisdom and game etiquette. There is no dumb questions.

4. Complete your practice levels. You will not have a hope in H#$$ during game if you do not master those basic skills.

The forum seems like a nice place? You sure we've been reading the same thing?! Lmao!

Blanks are easy to come by, don't let it bother you. Took me a good long while to even out my kill to death ratio.

Lots of good people in this game, just make sure to pick out the a-holes early and remember who they are. The good ones are easy to remember. Kappa, who posted above, really isn't THAT bad of a guy. Just likes to be an a-hole to see the reaction he can get outta you.

Lots of kids in this game, but for the most part it's the old geezers filling up the forum. World chat is hit or miss. Venture there at your peril!

One more thing, Slinger, beware of imposters and fake identities. If at any time you're not sure of who's who, just drop me a line.
