I have been thinking, thats what you smelled burning, and talking to a few people about having a dogfight convention. The idea for now would be to pick a place with a central location, drive to on a friday, hang out on saturday, and drive home on sunday. We would need to get some ideas about locations that would allow several players to attend. For instance, i am about 8-9 hours driving from Birmingham ALA, 6 from St louis and Kansas city, 8-9 hours from Dallas. If a player wanted to pm their location to me, i could start to figure something out. Or you could just tell me how far it is from your home to another city within a days drive.

This is a great idea and I've pondered it a few times.
Here's my idea, there are several veterans halls and clubs and the like you can rent in most citys and towns. I've been quoted as low as $40 to 80 bucks for a days use. This includes Wifi, restrooms, power sources, ethernet etc...
The great thing about these they are usually centrally located and found easily on google for instance.
I would love to lead a New England one,say meet in Maine or Massachusetts where I grew up.
Gotta get thru the winter and holidays but would like to do one come spring...
Good idea and thanks for sharing!

good thought, I doubt a hotel would have wifi good enough for a bunch of us to play at once. not sure any place would, but its a start.

I'm in the Dallas area. I'm willing to travel as well. Could be really fun. I would say Vegas, but we all end up going separate ways! Great idea. I like the regional model too. MIght help us gather steam for something larger.

Thats what i was thinking, start at a small level, get it working and look to expand. Maybe Vegas for 2017!

We should start out with a few, looks like you are first in line, to organize a local convention. Convention seems like a big word for a small meeting but what the heck!
