Freakin @*% &# $ +%@&

Happened again. I am in the middle of a game and my hand hits one of the menu keys (the triangle, circle, square, 1/2 box you see in my screen shot) and I loose connection.

Is there anyway to hide this bar?

Most apps that I use it is automatically hidden, but not here in Dogfight.

I have an android tablet.

Pleeeaaaasssseeeee help!!!!!!!

Tell me there is a way to get rid of this.

If not, Zup, here's another thing you can add to DF Elite.

I just added more grrrrrr to my situation.

It's a LG android tablet. Apparently those are considered soft keys that are used for the home menu bar (navigation bar should you call it). My tablet doesn't have the option to hide it like some do. There are apps that will hide it but then I loose out on keyboard function when the home menu bar is hidden. I would have to expose the bar everytime I wanted to type.

Like I said....freakin grrr, grrr, and grrrrrr. And now even more grrrrrrrrrrr!

I always wondered why everyone's screen shots looked strange to me. They always looked elongated to me. Now I know. That dang home menu bar is taking up part of my screen. When I tried installing one of the immerse apps I saw how much bigger everything was.

Anyone have a solution?

Try GMD auto hide keys, available on play store. I haven't used it but may solve your issue. You may try it at your own risk after going through the reviews.

Thanks Blue. I had a feeling you would have an answer to this.

GMD is the one I tried and a few others. Yes GMD works well but when the menu is hidden the keyboard does not work. I can bring the menu up again and type as I please, but then to hide it again I have to touch this red line right by the menu. I can definitely see me pressing one of the menu buttons again and losing connection because now I am touching that area all the time. Lol...I am right back to my original problem.

So for DF this app is not a good choice.

Thank you for bringing it up though. I appreciate that. :)

Blue

Thanks again for taking the time in doing in this. I did check out the link and tried everything. Unfortunately with all the available apps the keyboard function does not work up to par. Looks like I am stuck with my home menu buttons right where they are.

Ok D93 here comes the innovative way, it will solve your issue and what more you don't need any software too.

Cut a colored plastic strip having width that can cover the navigation icons. Paste one end of strip to left edge of icon row like the pic given below with cello tape. Now your phone navigation icons will not activated as they are covered and when you want to write just flip out to type and flip in to hide icons again.

Kind of funny but really not a bad idea. It actually would not get in my way of typing either. It will however prevent me from accidently losing connection.

I just may give it a shot.

Thanks Blue!
