Oh, I've taken it too far, have I?
Well, allow me to "step the f up" (respectfully of course) and put in a word for the good Lord of Gretchland. Rather than smite your feeble senses with a plethora of post from forum past, I shall speak plainly from mine own heart:
Zup has said in no uncertain terms that this game pays neither room nor board in the house of Gretch. Nay, he slogs thru his after work hours putting together a product anew with hopes that it may grow and thrive to become a more fertile golden goose than this sorry old albatoss has been.
In one previous post he made clear that it is normal for games such as this to go through a life span and to eventually fall away into old dusty memory as new technology surpasses the old programming. Which is nobler: throwing sweat and coin at the dying horse or bringing in a new stallion, able to pull twice the load, twice as fast with half the rest stops? (I'm speaking allegoricaly here lads.)
Nay, Lord Zup has lamented that the feeble taxes he pulls from us is not enough to hire staff nor to justify working full time on Dogfight alone. It seems it would be far easier for him to be done with the sour lot of us and move on to the greener pastures of New Gretchland (DF2) Can you claim with any sincerity that should this game close today, that you would not seek the openening of the gates of the new realm?
Your complaints as unsatisfied customers are justified. It has been said that perhaps Gretch has bitten off more than he can chew. So, what then should he chew? The old mutton, or the new lamb? And before you answer, which would be better to focus on if his goal is to bring in more happy little dogfighters?
If it displeased you so, be done with it. Otherwise STFU and play. (Respectfully of course)
(Calm your ire. Be men about it ya Nancy boys!)
