That's one heck of a statement to make. My parents are currently on a Mediterranean cruise.

I can.see.why they left you behind .did they even tell you they were going or just leave a note.

why using methods like that to winn a game when you can do it in teamwork.
dogfight is a game with tactics, not a game for people like you who have to use things like that to winn

It's a long time since I really looked forward to opening up a DF gossip thread. He's pissing people off, but he's also getting a lot of laughs! You've got to admit he's different.
I'm sure you guys will eventually find a way to bury him in permafrost, but I hope not too soon.

I am very happy he posted this video how a player gets the tank then hides in the building to shell the carrier and win the game. It's about time someone did. The reason I say this is because many players have no clue what's even going on when this happens. Just like with many other so called "tactics".

IT SHOULD BE MADE KNOW TO ALL PLAYERS! Everyone should know about this move. The real cheating is that some players just don't know about it. It should be available to all. Now whether or not a player decides to use this move is a different story that I don't even want to argue about. We all know how those conversations go.

Now you may say well now that more players know about it more of them will use it. You know what? So be it. If this tactic doesn't belong in the game then something should be done to get rid of it.

I am AGAINST this move and I have NEVER done it. Would I? Only against reds that I would consider to be using tactics I would not agree with.

I am shocked all the time when I see some players that I would never have thought would use this tactic, but do. Same goes for many other "tactical" moves. I am not here to debate whether this is a smart tactical move or cheating. SO PLEASE LET'S NOT GET INTO THAT.

All I know is this move is done simply to take advantage of players that do not know about this tactic and how to prevent it from happening. Why? Because those that know how to prevent it from happening will do just that, prevent it.

To prevent it from happening (for those of you that do not know) you can not kill a player with bullets on the bridge unless you are 100% sure that you will kill them when they go for the parachute. To kill the parachute either shoot the heck out of it, the man, the plane, or drop a bomb on them.

THE BEST WAY TO KILL A PLAYER ON THE BRIDGE TRYING TO SET UP TO USE THIS MOVE IS TO DROP A BOMB ON THE PLANE!!! THIS WAY THEY NEVER GET THE OPTION TO TANK!

You can also bomb the section of the bridge and hope that it will collapse and the plane ends up drowning. Problem with this is that some sections do not collapse.

The worst thing to do is just shoot the plane and leave them alone. That equals game over, unless you know how to kill them in the tank in the building. You are better off not shooting the plane at all then. At least then the plane is useless sitting there until it decides to fly again. The worst it can do at this point is drop 2 bombs on the carrier and kill some planes. That's better than losing the game in a just 1 minute like MORAF 21 demonstrated.

So how do you kill them in the tank in the building? You know what that too needs to be available to all. I simply stated too much for now and maybe I will create a thread stated just that.

Lol lol, I had someone use this against me tonight, I was not able to kill him. I tried bombing, didn't work, and I tried firing straight into the door but simply got shot by the tank. I finally gave up and left lol.

There is one way that I know and do to kill the tank. Someone once took the time to show me how...thanks heli

Nahhh...I am cool with making it a fair playing field for all. Any knowledge that I have of this game I will gladly pass along unless it was something passed to me where I promised to keep my mouth closed.

So here we go....

When the tank is in the building, first thing you have to do is bomb the section of the bridge that connects to the bulding. The part of the bridge touching the building that is. It will collapse and will reveal an opening from underneath the building. Make a long u-turn giving yourself time to set up what you have to do now. Come in on an approach to the building at a small angle from the bridge. YOU HAVE TO ALSO COME IN FROM A POINT LOWER THAN THE BRIDGE.

As you near the building throttle down to the lowest flight speed that you can as you will need all the time you can get to fire your shots. Now basically what you are doing is firing at the tank from underneath the floor which is now exposed from you bombing the bridge. Make those shots count as this is not an easy thing to do.

I just killed a tank in the building using this approach about 2 days ago

He thought he was slick and had the game won, but probably felt like

Sure it does. You can spawn kill German planes from a tank on top of Duckwing. It takes luck and perfect timing...

Are you 100% sure about this? Because it sounds like you actually helped me with the first part of what needs to be done and that is taking out that section of the bridge.

If by you taking that section out from the tank does something other than exposing yourself then it's something I don't know about.

Curveballs, fastballs, sliders, you name it and I would love to take a crack at it. I don't mind seeing them all with some training and practice.

I agree with you on what you say about "pill boxes" throughout the map as long as they are not created where it would be too easy. What I am getting at is that I don't like the fact that when someone gets a tank in the building in a btc game that the player can ultimately end the game by shelling the carrier to smitherines. Also what I don't like is that so many players have no knowledge of what is even happening here and forget about them trying to prevent or defend against it.

It shouldn't be able to end the entire game with this one move (same reason I am against the tank glitch in btb) and it would be fair if all had the knowledge of this tactic, how to prevent and defend it.

These things should be written and easily available to all players upon joining DF. There really should be a DF manuel that explains it all and given to every player upon joining DF.

If someone didn't teach me how to kill the tank I would have never figured that approach out. Like I would have known to bomb the bridge and attack from under the floor. I only wish I was that smart and creative.

The forum is what you make of it. Feel free to make a DF manual. I was thinking about making a DF guide sort of thing but I've got too much other stuff going on. I'm sure many would appreciate it.

Little details like how you can aim for the soldier, chute or the downed plane, how to find auto destruct etc...

I have been thinking about doing just that. I got some help here from players from all different squads (thank you all) since I started here. Wow did I appreciate it.

So ever since I started getting pretty good, I was and still am very happy to share my knowledge with others. I have been sending many PMs and posting things when I can. Especailly when I catch a player in a game that I see can use some help and that player is a nice person.

I really should take the notes that I have, put them together, and add some other details to it and make it available to all. I just make take the time to do so. I know it would be far from covering it all, but hey, some is better than none.

The thing that would stink and is on the back of my mind is that I go ahead and do all this, then January comes around and DF Elite rolls out and all this was for nothing. Ggrrrrr I wouldn't be a happy camper

You might want to check out blue fighter's links that he has been creating and collecting of tips and fax. As for January. ... I wouldn't hold your breath. Zup is working by himself and I hope he doesn't rush it.
