It's more of a learn as you go game, well for me it was. I never seen a manual but yes one should exist. Geez now I wonder if there is one too

Best way that I learned to play was to finish all the practice missions. When you are in a game watch how the other players play and learn from them. Especially the better players. The ones getting many kills. They are the ones you want to learn from.

Also always ask questions. You can post a question here like you just did with this or ask players for help in world chat. Try to avoid asking too much in a game because many players are focused on playing but yes we will help you there too.
