Each platform will have different pricing. I can't tell the prices yet because it depends on the different licenses I have to get per platform and the agreements I can get (if for instance Microsoft decides to help out the game, I can give more free stuff that if they don't)... things like that.

Stupid question here. When DF Elite releases, will we still have plain old Dogfight?

Yes, Dogfight will continue running. I just can't update it without screwing many people. Let me explain. Some companies like for instance Apple, doesn't allow to send updates to the store for old devices. So if I push a Dogfight update to the store, it will require it to run on ios 8.0 minimum. Meaning, anyone with a device older than an iPhone 4s, would be immediately out of the game.
Facebook also updated their system and it requires to use Unity 5. Unity 5 requires that your phone has newer capabilities... so old phones again would be left out.

That was part of the reason that Dogfight Elite is a new version instead of an update to the existing game. In short. Dogfight 1 will continue running but with no or almost none updates and all focus will move forward to Dogfight Elite.

The main issue is that, on the Google Cardboard's option, the game would need to rely on the phone's accelerometer instead of the VR's accelerometer (of course, the google cardboard VR thing has no accelerometer, it's all about cardboard and two lenses). And, based on some "experts"' reviews, the phone's accelerometer is "slower" (less responsive and less "fine-tunable" than the Samsung Gear's accelerometer.
So, your question is good, Rudolf, and I will rewrite it a bit:
Will users be able to play using Google Cardboard and/or other similar cheap devices wich have no controlers and no accelerometer?

Probably yes, but it's not a priority. The cardboard is pretty crappy. I've played around with one myself and since it has no real measurement hardware accuracy was really bad. It's fun to see how things look in 3d, but after 10 minutes you stop using them and go back to playing regularly, unless you enjoy getting killed none stop.

Hopefully Google will release their own affordable VR.

LOL - I imagined that... But I'm still curious, and probably will give it a try someday.
