So I have a couple money makers in my aquarium. I have a breeding pair of Angfish. The female is a stripped Angelfish and the male is a red eyed black ghost angelfish. They have about 100-150 eggs every 8-10 days. If I artificially hatch them. ( without parents) I can sell the fry when there about quarter sized. Each Angel will sell for $2.00-$3.00 if I sell them to a fish store. $4.00-$5.00 if I sell them on craigslist but that's hard I would need to get rid of them quick so I would sell to a fish store. So if I sold 100 baby angelfish for $2.00 that would be $200.00 each time I sold the quater sized angles. It will take 3 months for them to get that size but sense they have eggs every 8 days I will always have Angels in stock so I would be looking at $150.00-$200.00 a month. But that's with alot of hard work. Is it worth it ?

What are your costs for aquariums and such? Will you need more than one? Can you separate the breeders to slow the process? Is it worth $2400 per year? Can you contract with a pet store? All worth answering.

What came first, the fish or the egg?

Wait, if I remember right you have children. Oh yes child labor laws don't cover private fish farms. Invest wisely and and you could be the angelfish baron!!!!! With little overhead....

I did the same with African ciclid convicts. Waste of time no fish store is gunna pay u for them,u would probably have to give away free. If u want them to stop breading lower the temp on your heater and they will stop,around 70-73. I did the fresh water thing. Got a rewf tank know and there is money in fraging aoft corals. I'm in California and don't know one lfs that would pay for custermers fish

Egor had the best advice. Don't count on being able to sell all of them. If you flood the market the price will go down and the stores will stop wanting to buy them since they already have a bunch. Get some different breeding fish and mix it up.

Save up all of the baby fish and wait until they mate and then sell em all except the two youngest fish

it depends on how dedicated u want to be and how many mating pairs u want ! hmmm fish never done that one , ive bred and sold buggies and cockateils (spelling) but u get it I sold them privately as I got more then selling them in a pet store mine were better ! just saying

I buy tanks off craigslist for cheap.
It's not that time consuming about a hour aday of maintenance plus checking them every know and then. Once there born they should grow as long as my water perimiters are good.
A week ago I started breeding bristlenose plecos about 10 have hatched they will sell for about $4-$5 each.

Some stores won't hand you cash but they will give store credit which I could just buy aquarium related things. Filter, lights etc and just sell them on craigslist
