This game sucks,no way to upgrade plane, no way to buy new one and you can't fight in multiplayer without dieing instantly. Can't even get past mission 6 with this plane.

Hey Sixgun! Welcome to Dogfight!

The game might seem difficult at first, I know it was hard for me when I first started out. There's not a lot of hand-holding with this game; no auto aim, no targeting mechanic, no automatic evasion... I know a lot of other flight sims out there have this but Dogfight is different. The best, and only way to get better is practice. Learn how to hold your plane steady, shoot straight, and outmaneuver other pilots. You will lose a lot, but you'll ride that steep learning curve and get better with time.

As for the issues with upgrading/buying planes: you need coins to buy them. Earn coins by playing the game (multiplayer is much more fun and rewarding, who wants to play with robots?). If you have enough coins and you still can't purchase, it might be a glitch or bug with the game. In that case, post your report in the Dogfight Support section of the forums, or email the game developer directly:

Welcome to Dogfight.

Luna knows things..........She's a bit like "The Wise Woman". (Really.)

Get in the game, have fun taking some beatings and find out this is more of a community than just a shooter.

Ask if you can fly behind a better player, don't shoot him down and make it farther along the field.

And.....have fun. (I already said that.)

Yeah, Sixgun, I stink at this game for a looong time! Still do most days, but it's a heck of a lot of fun if you apply yourself to it. Stick with it. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it.

Sixgun,

I know exactly how you feel, as I was in the same position, although when I started there weren't so many practice missions.

Ask people in my squad and they will tell you how I used to complain about having bent gun barrels, a giant target painted on my magnetic plane, and the ground crew loaded my plane with blanks. But eventually I got better and better, and after a little more than a year I reached level 31 (MORAF).

There is some great advice above, but I would also say that in the beginning you will get your butt beat, and there are some top players with no heart that have no problem beating you down, but don't let that upset you. Keep playing, keep learning, and never quit. Even if you lose a game you still get points and it doesn't count against your wins, or stats, so don't worry about being on the losing team.

After a while you'll have enough to upgrade or buy a new plane. The way I did it was just upgrading my basic plane to start, then when I had the money I bought the following planes in order:

German ~ Albatros D.III, Albatros D.V, Siemens Schuckert IV

Allied ~ Spad XIII, SE5A, Sopwith Camel F.1

If I was to do it again, I possibly would skip the Abatros D.III, and the Spad XIII. Also, even after purchasing the top planes (Siemens, and Camel), I still played with the other planes until I was able to fully upgrade the top planes.

Expect to get shot down a LOT at the start, but never get mad. You may get frustrated, but don't let them get to you, and NEVER use any profanity, keep the game clean. There are people from all over the world, and kids playing, so we need to keep it clean in the chat, in the game, and here on the forum.

Best of luck, remember you will get better as long as you don't quit.

Stick with it, become dependable, you will grow to be deadly, then one day, you will be feared... (I hope I get there someday, I'm still working on the dependable part)

ok I got chewed out for hanging around a base and shooting players after they take off yet two WP players and one named 3rdMed hung around base and shot me before I could even get moving much less take off. Seems rules only apply to a few.
