strange things are happening on world chat as we're all probably aware of by now. It's an incident where one can report and get another muted without probable cause or reason. I myself have been great all weekend with no problems and just come back from a good match with red-baron|s99 only to find out I have been muted...again. This is the third time ive been muted this week for nothing in offense. And it's not for just minutes at a time it's for days!

Who ever is doing this i ask you to please stop. Zuperman, this is really becoming a serious issue and I think u should definitely do something about it. This is happening to a lot of well known, respected players. If u could please look into this and do something about it myself and a lot of people will greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

My goodness sir!! You are once of the best sole I have seen in the game!! Why would anyone report you!? Anyways you may try to go back to main screen and enter multiplayer mode and then switch to squadron chat and type something and then again go back to main screen and enter multiplayer mode. This works for me everytime I am muted for maybe even saying "Hi" sometimes!

I would say someone is acting like.a.tool bag and having fun with the report button .they need to be banned for it .there are way to many mutings going on zup has to see who's doing all the reporting I bet it's all one person.rember the computer only looks for foul languageand can not tell the difference when a report is sent

It might be my limited insight, but sometimes you hit "report" by accident and you cand get out of that window unless you actually send it.
Why have a report button anyway? Screenshots submitted to the blacklist thread would do nicely if actually checked and enforced.
Why give anyone who is not a moderator the power to mute anyone else?

Likely for the same reason some folks use a speed hack, shoot own players, etc. Just to be an irritant. Shows a complete lack of maturity, doing any of that stuff.

I try to avoid WC as well, but its hard to recruit folks unless you are in chat at least now and again.

as.far.as.I understand it it's a computer and zup that do it.the computer is auto zup makes.final say on longer bans .

well, it's going to be fun because I get a notification for every report with the info, content of chat and who requested it. And this past few days I've got lot of fun.
I'm going to go into a ban fest for people fake reporting. And i'm letting you know one in particular is from the Misfit and caught my eye because I got over 30 reports in 10 minutes from him.

Reporting: =£= ZebraUp was reported by [M]uted Eagle!
Reason:
.mute this d bag

He changed his name, he is right now [M]isfited Misfit, ranked 98. He sent over 30 fake requests.
Obviously he just got a ban.

Ok so I'm going to chime in here. That one instance is a particularly poor one to take out of context. Now Eagle, we can't send the message of mute this d bag. In context perhaps it felt right at the time, but rarely in application is it quite as effective. Sometimes things like this come back to bite you. I know Zup could post some of my reports as well. Most, if not all, would be for "Flaming world chat". Again, great in theory, messy in application as it wasn't always the case.

Zup could you provide us with a little more information? Like who are the other one's that have sent a mute report i don't believe it's fair to call out just one of the individuals. If you're going to call one out you should call them all out, some i believe are second accounts a few have posted here. I would also like some proof that of 30 mutes in one night im not sure if you know this but some had a mute war a few nights ago.

What would be cool would be if Zup was to post a weekly list of who was banned, for how long they are banned, and why.

This would allow us to see that things are actually getting done.

I guess you could say my main question is who is it that's been muting [M]uted Eagle on a daily basis? could you provide us with his in game name?

Nah, I'd say a guy asking Zup for help over false reporting & then getting banned for false reporting has got His Magesty posting on a thread pertaining to report abuse (in which i have been victim to Zippy/Eagle more times than I can count) beat in the irony department.
