had a Bomb the Base game earlier tonight where it was me (level 30) and an Aspirant, I asked him if he knew the mission - turns out he doesn't so I said just try to shoot me before I bomb you, I won't fire at all. He manages to get me down, I say "well done" etc.... about 4 more reds join, all of them noobs (maximum level 6 IIRC), then as I get some team mates joining I let them know what's going on, we are basically in a training session so please play accordingly. CC Rider joins the blues and acknowldeges the effort but wants some real action so gracefully leaves for greener pastures. Big ups to Walleye who stayed on my team for the whole game, we were giving tips how to aim in tank, shoot ahead of the plane etc
Naturally the reds slaughtered us! I didn't get any kills as per my word, but it put a smile on my face to think some new players got to enjoy the game without bullying or dishearteningly being pummelled to death - such a nice difference to the game I commented on in one of my more recent posts.

I had some guys do that for me when I first started here and I really appreciated it. So now when I get the chance I do the same.

The funniest part is when they don't believe me when I tell them that I won't kill them and that I am only trying to help. Once they get that first kill on me that's when they pick up on what I am doing. Many also ask why am I doing this? I simply tell them I want to help them get better.

I do this nearly every game, at first is was annoying as hell and now I'm quite comfortable with it. And the knowing that I have been a part of players move through the ranks to the top numbers makes me proud.....

Back when I started there was wig, DP29, Cobra, XxxxX (Ried) and a few others that helped me out and learn the game. I still remeber them and appreciate the time and pointers they gave. I also remembering feeling like I was one em to a piont. Give back that's my moto....

Good to see it happening Sly . I left as some of my tips contradict others and as you know too many chefs spoil the broth

Got another story, had a few games today with a couple of level 6's and ended up in a destroy the base mission against them.
Misfits moraf [M]SKY.FOXX shows up on my team, and we agree not to shoot until they get more team members but still try to bomb the base which we did successfully, 4 each:)

Note in the screenshot that the reds managed 9 deaths between them without Sky or myself firing a shot! (sorry, don't mean to make fun of them)
Phuong didn't turn up until the last second, and Sky can verify that he & I were the only blues throughout (yeah, just so we can brag about doing all the bombing and not shooting the reds)
