Well it ís seen as quite an achievement. No spacetravel without producing food.

History does seem to repeat itself in a way. The invention of "superfoods" that are sustainable or which you can grow on your voyage make new things possible.
As we learned in school, the invention of sauerkraut, beer (you couldn't store water), and Beef Jerkey (ok, dried salted meat) are some of the best inventions.

I like sauerkraut .I LOVE BEER .and I have had venison jerky (sooo tasty).
What I want to know is can I volunteer my wife for any long time space exploration.
