Question for Zup ...How fair is it that some players in a game can change from night mode back to day mode by either pushing a button ( PC) players or turning this mode off in their settings while the rest of us have to either endure the game in pitch black cant see a thing mode or leave the game early . You have to address this situation as I think it is one of the worst changes that you have ever made to this game . It puts one hell of a strain on your eyesight just to try and find the enemy let alone shoot them down . This is so far just my thought and opinion on this subject so I am interested as to how others feel about this .

Wow I think that I finally get it when many such as yourself say that they hate the night. I don't have this problem as my tablet always seems to be bright enough to see the enemy no matter what. I even tend to like it because all my shots light up more and I prefer that.

I don't think Zup may be aware that some players are having this problem. I can see how some tablets don't light up as well as mine or if someone is playing on a phone. I guess it would be hard to see.

As for the pc players having the option to turn this mode off I didn't know that. That too now makes sense to me as a long time ago someone in a game was saying that they were switching from night to day. I just thought this guy was nuts. Maybe there is a way for us to do it too but we don't know how to. Just like the lower left corner turning the chat on and off. Hummmm.....I wonder.

So if anyone reads this and knows of a solution to this please respond.

Yeah, I like the night mode myself, but doesn't seem in the spirit of the game if some can turn it off, but others can't.

I am using an iPad2. I used to have day/night, snow, and lightning. I think I got rid of all of that by deleting the app and then reinstalling it, and then when the game goes through its "optimization mode" I close the app after the first step. Then after waiting a few moments I reopen the app and voilà. Hope this helps.

Bear in mind that some platforms (phones I think) don't even have the night part at all. For me, I have a hard time seeing at night but I can still compete. I won't have a kdr as good as when it's daylight but I can manage. But not everyone is in the dark at the same time.

It was a neat idea when it first came out. But it's never been fair right from the start. It's not synchronized. You can be playing during the day while your opponent is playing in darkness. There are screenshots somewhere on the Misfits thread of a game I was in with TBuilt. We both took screenshots of a game we won. One pic showed day while the other showed night.

I say get rid of it all together if it's not on every single platform and not in sync. Either everyone has to deal with it or lose the feature altogether. For me the novelty has worn out.

WOW,Had no idea that there was an option to shut off. I hate night games I try but end up leaving cause I can't c chet. I always fly no sound,no graphics, no details water our ground,no chat, it would be nice to add an option for the night mode as well. Maby in df 2 when it comes out in 2020.

Comet is right, the novelty of night flying has worn off with me as well. Night time is supposed to be for beer and hookers before the next days sortie.

Plus I cannot hit a red aircraft at night if I was inside it!

Bware's post is correct, un install, re install and close app before optimization hits level 2 and no more un wanted night etc...

For pc users it's control f12 and you get a slide bar that adjust the light and weather.

I think it should be fixed at night time for Zeppelin and CTF. All the rest: daytime.

Myth busted, just saying that I turned it off as well as others.

I don't know how to turn off the night setting.. and I don't think I would if I could.. although I have to agree with those that say it's not fair if some are flying in daylight while in the same mission others are in bright daylight..

Only thing I would like to turn off during a mission is the sound of the rain.. it's annoying like static and also lulls me to sleep lol!

Hey Odd job I hope the f12 button works for you I was on PC 8.1 windows and it worked for me . Am on Ipad 1 now and no joy . Rudolf well mate sorry but it is not an urban myth mate and if you are on pc and it is not doing it for you get another key board . I take it by your coment that you have already tried the f12 button . Believe me it does work . Thanks everyone for their input . I am still experiencing night and rain but will keep trying to solve this issue . The game crashes seem here to stay as well . But I still love the game . And all my friends out there .
