The data from a DF game could be broadcast to any number of spectators. No problem with lag because it would be one way traffic.
A spectator could position their view from anywhere on the map and hover, more like a helicopter, (any number could watch from the same spot without being visible to each other or the game.)

A great way to learn manouvers and tactics.

Maybe this could be part of the Squad Wars option.
Big games could have commentators, with blow by blow analysis
Could even have a voting system, thumbs up or thumbs down at the end of the game.
