Hi there

More and faster servers were added today. Let me know if you notice any improvement.

Apple is still pending release of the update, so meanwhile you need to wait a bit on the world map (about 30 seconds) for the new servers to load.

i'm getting reports that some people can't log in (even after waiting the 30 seconds required for apple)
if you figure out which zone is not allowing it, let me know. I try all servers and I log in everywhere, so I must be missing something

well I've got 16 to 32 cpu 24 gb ram dedicated servers with fiber optic connection... so if it is still slow, it should definitely not be the servers

I played 4 of the most lag free games I've ever played last night then on the 5th game the lag came back with a vengeance, putting over 100 rounds in a plane and they just kept on flying.

I played a 3 hour game late last night (I'm on Apple, so could be update related), the lag came and went. Sometimes it was smooth as silk, others it was 20 to 30 seconds of lag, weird.

remember that lag is not ONLY because of the server. If a player is connecting from a village on Bangladesh, he will be lagging. If 100 people decides to download game of thrones around your area at the same time, the network will be lagging. if there is a thunderstorm between new York and California and you are using those wires, it will be lagging...

In short, don't be surprised if occasionally you lag. It is completely normal and acceptable. I don't have control over every single connection worldwide, just yet. If the game never lagged under any circumstances, I wouldn't be on Dogfight. I would be on a secret NASA/Area41, frozen, and investigated by some scientists.

What's important is that lag is not 100% all the time that you play.

you haven't thought about increasing the speed on light in a fibre, it only travels at a measly ~2/3 C at the moment (5ms per 1,000Km not including the electrical conversion during switching and amplifications along the way), lots of scope to get it closer to 300,000Km/s and reduce lag by almost 30%.

Come surely you can do that in software right? ;)

Last night the lag , for me, was the worst I can remember. Fest. Playing iPad so hopefully with update should be better. :dry:

Lag has been little lately but it's does come.and go sometime everyone disappeared and I'm.hitting planes with tank they don't die and some tanks not dieing other than that going good east coast server android 4g connection is strong

I was about to propose the same thing!!!!

I play chess online at gameknot.com, and recently they offered a life-time subscription (they asked for 300 dolars, if I am not wrong).

For people, like me, that doesn't have access to an international credit card right now (go ask my wife about that), it would be nice if we could buy, let say, two or three Google Gift Cards and spend them all at once with subscription.

If not for life-time, the one-year is a good idea!

Plenty of lag this weekend. Some games didn't start out that way, but by the time they were full up with people from different countries it was noticable.

More noticable was the sudden invisibility and eventual connection lost message that I got in every game (four or five times) spaced over the weekend. Platinum cable customer with latest dual router system, tested signal strength by meter by technicians.

If there is an improvement, I have not noticed it. I play mainly on Vimy and Mess. Weekends are hard to gauge anyways as it's the busiest time.
