Nearly three years I have not posted negative feedback on this forum with the issues that take place with this game as so many others have repeatedly pointed them out to you. I have not until know once complained that I lost the albatross after an update and have not seen it in over a year after I busted my ass to earn the points to earn it as it was the top tier plane at the time.

In fact I have spent money on this game to support your efforts to improve it with your creativity in the hopes that you find that medium that satisfies your goals. I deal with graphics such as trees and clouds that provide no cover as they can be turned off, pointless, waste of memory. I deal with platforms that provide glitches, invisible tanks, tanks under water, planes that indeed turn on a dime regardless of any explanation put on this forum.

We play this game because we love it and the majority who play are not talking from the backside or whining, they are legitimate complaints made by people who play. Play your game for a few hundred hours and tell me that when I jump into a game on the east coast server and don't wish to play said game, choose the west coast server and get put back into the game I just left and that the servers are segregated.

You forced a squad size limit to 50 players per squad as a result for squad wars that has yet to come to fruition, what was the point? Still waiting. You ask us to give you ideas for elite, when you promised us better servers for DF so are the servers going to be better for DF Elite? or the same servers we pay for now?

So here is the feedback you ask for, I am not attacking, nor am I trying to insult you, in fact I have held back as I fear you will ban me for being honest. You said if older players don't like it to move on to another game and a new group would move in, what an insult for us who want to play because we older players like this game. Just so no one misunderstands this, this has no bearing on those who do not subscribe to play this game.

I haven't been on in over 60 days now. I have played maybe 5 games since the start of 2015. I'm done and out. There is no longer an incentive to play DF. Telling stat is that I have played less than 50 games total in the last year. In that time I have only dropped 250 spots in the rankings. It's not like I'm a Moraf or even close for that matter. At my highest I was rank 430. I am now down in the 680 range. That's depressing. I mean yay, out of an entire year only 250 players have made it to the halfway to Moraf point. Just not worth the time, effort, and pointless bullshit from other players and that we are force fed by the creator. It becomes a tiresome charade. Thanks for the post Bz. DF was a great ride while it lasted, but all things considered, it's time to just mosey on along.

I have been playing just over a year. I am not what you would consider an "older player". Those that have been around for a lot longer are in fact the ones that have set the environment for this game. An environment that I thought for the most part was just fine. Things change, programs change, I get that. But I agree with the older guys that may have been insulted by the comment that was made about going and playing something else if you don't like it here. Guys that have kept the faith through thick and thin. I think that stings a bit.

I'm not a gamer. This is the only thing I know. I have nothing to compare it to. All I know is that I believe the simplicity of it is what appeals to a lot of us guys that are older in terms of years. It's an easy game to play but difficult to master. That's what brings me back for more. Also, the friends I have made while playing it. I'm not saying to bring back an older version of this game or anything like that. I can adapt to change. But guys are playing less and less and others have left completely. Why? Because every time something gets said it's taken as negative criticism. Get told enough to go do something else if you don't like it and that's what they're gonna do.

Hope things get straightened out. The support and understanding for the efforts made to keep this game alive is there, don't think for a second that it's not. Guess if I get banned for this I too will go do something else...c'est la vie.

Love this game and the people I've gotten to know on here. Addicting combination.

P.S. I think the name change thing to get rid of 4 or 5 clowns that were hard to kill for some affected way more honest players than realized. That's the straw that may have broken the camel's back.

Well said Comet. Like you. I'm not a gamer. This was something to do when I got bored mainly because of my love and interest in Aviation and History, you can see that in my atrocious KDR! Now, it's become so much more. The friendships through out the community, the fun in the game. Shame to see things coming to this. Friendships survive, life goes on. There won't be a game like this out there, it is unique. Hope this all resolves someway.

Well said brother, this was the last straw for me.

You took my [*M] away and not just mine anyone else that had a name change forced on them with absolutely no warning? That's like kicking me out of the squad. Do you have any idea how much that [M] means to every single [M]isfit that flys it?
The day I got it was the most memorable moment I will take away from this game right next to meeting every single individual in the [M]isfits. Making MORAF doesn't even touch how I felt the day I got it.
Now I hope it was worth saving just one player only to lose more when we have so many other issues that need to be fixed.

Until our [M] has been returned I will no longer be playing this game.

I never ever said that. I said that the game is 5 years old and like every game, many players get tired and some leave to other games. Something I've done myself with several games. And that coming here to troll, complain with no feedback or content was not right. I said that things with content I could look into how to fix, but just saying "it sucks", provided no input to begin looking at things. If one thing I've shown is that I try to listen to complains and address them as quick as humanly possible. I've never banned and will never ban anyone from providing meaningful feedback.

As for the recent name changes, many were complaining about it, most notably Pedrinho, so I took action. It's been talked several times during the life of the game and I explained I'm still working on a way to allow for characters. The other option is just to go back and allow all names, for me it is certainly easier since it seems it's so problematic for most. And honestly, I don't care if someone's name is . (7 spaces here) . it has never personally bothered me and seeing that it's creating all kind of issues I'm going to roll back and allow for all the characters as before.

How about setting it back so those of us that were not trying to hide with a few space can actually change it back with no spaces. Something i would have been more than happy to do if only given a warning of a name change. Rather than waking up the next day to see my name look like this

We are just hooked.
Zup made us care for this game and made us look forward to seeing develop into the DF Elite he once showed us a preview of.
I still love this game, for what it is.....no longer for what it might one day become.
To be frank: Dogfight Elite like in the preview is already out there, but just on PC. (Rise of Flight, Warthunder)
The unique thing of Dogfight is that it is mobile....(ok, Storm Raiders is too....and it's one of Apple's darlings)

I think thát's what Zup's biggest achievement is, The community. AND it's his biggest and unique selling point to any new player.
Long ago I gladly payed my "slice of pizza" to be part of this community. I gladly payed for coins to buy better planes....(because I lack the skills to earn them).
But lately I hasitate to pay my monthly Starbucks to not have to chat with my friends on the forum. The lag doesn't help either.

Punching in code seems like writing Arapaho to me, and I don't envy Zup's position when things come out Mohawk.
Keeping up with the big gaming industry giants is not possible when you are the last of the Echoboom Dogfight team Moheekans.
And you only survive if you keep your community fascinated.
It's how the human brain works! If it gets bored, because of lack of new stimuli, it will turn elswhere.
Please keep us fascinated, Zup.

I didn't get any error it just went back to what it was before I tried to change it, I tried again this morning and it worked thanks zup.
