Dear Zup...I'm putting this on here as I don't want to add to your expansive incoming tide of e-mails, also I think it might reach some of the pilots who are expressing their frustration at this current predicament.A brief dip into some of the recent thread categories will give you a synopsis of the mood around here, and it isn't all good.
I know you are busy and there are many more things to worry about than playing a game, but I think you have to address the growing number of disconcerted players and expressions of frustration, a little bit of regular communication would I think elay the doubts and frustrations of what are basically your customers, with minimum effort a little explaination of what's going on will go a long way, we understand that you are handcuffed by a third party and you are doing everything you can at your end to make things work, but don't underestimate the help that is also here, yes it's a game but so much more than that and you have an army of good people that will do anything to help you if you just give them a little regular update at this time.The old addage no news is good news probably doesn't apply here.
I totally understand the frustrations vented, but look at this from a newcomers point of view Zup all your hard work is being slowly eroded away when you could address your people and get us all looking towards solutions, word of mouth is a fantastic business tool as recommendations go a long way, but the same is also true of the opposite.I love this game and my comments here are not a criticism of anyone, just a few lines that I hope will help in some way,you could tell me t o mind my own business, but I think any helpfull comment or thread would help you to keep your existing pilots and encourage new pilots to stay.

Zup,.....sorry for being honest...but the last days I've been snooping around some other PC flight sim games...and some are amazingly beautiful......but flying them is a nightmare!

A spit in your direction is better then no spit at all. I got an idea make the game u have currently working actually work. Instead of using subscrption payments for your other projects. Our at least a fk off and stop pestering me would work.

Zup.could make.the game better .as many of what's left of the older players will attest to .just a few short years ago the game looked like it does now .but we did not have 40 thousand trees ,night or day games super fancy water lighting storms .we just had some basic stuff .the game ran fairly smooth even when the server were packed with players

Now I understand zup wanting to make it cooler. But for some reason the more he added the worse the game lagged .I can see Df as a test ground for Df elite.as for the graphics most people dont use the trees or clouds.or the fancy water stuff I could if I wanted but never found any use for them .I zup reset the game to about a year or two from the start of the game it might be smother for everybody.zup could work on Df elite and zup could run this game with minimal effort

it's not the graphics that have kept my flying for years .there is no other game like this .I have marrrde friends and family here

Now isn't that a feast for your eyes? Imagine hopping amoungst the flowers to the carrot patch that will be situated right behind those luscious trees.......all you can eat!

Zup, he's right. We the OG's that have been here since and before the life time membership fee (there are a lot of us as hard as it is to play) can be the most critical I know, however I would be willing to bet tha we are the ones that would be right there if ever asked. This to most long time players is our beloved DF. We are concerned that is has maybe become a much less priority of echoboom. (Has it)? The mood of the players is dropping from the old "he's (Zup) working on 5he fix as we speak, to something more pessimistic and dark... you surely must know the play of the game is much less then it ever has been, and to the subscriber of the game the frustration is become a lesson in buyer be where..... A far cry from bye gone days of ol'.
Honestly zup I love the game for alot of reasons, and see at this time most of those reasons pailing away and seemingly echoboom unconcerned.....

You can only tell a new player to the game "we are having some temporary play issues but will be cracking here shortly so hang in there". So many times them poof, gone never to be seen again....

I personally have always been a supporter of DF and will continue to be as long as the players that are dwindling don't disappear all together..... its a great game, you know that I'm sure. I don't know that it's so great it can be ignored too much longer and survive. Best wishes hope I'm not ribbin you wrong here, I'm not trying to in any way just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

I write almost daily and I just took a 3 days break from the forum because I was getting burned out... you want me to call you home before midnight too?

Darraxx, I completely disagree. But not because I feel this or that way. It is because I actually measure all kind of statistics on the servers. That the game was better is a myth. The speed and everything has been improved slowly but surely. It just happen some random hiccups like apple modifying something or Microsoft making changes or the server providers going through updates. It has nothing to do with rain, weather or trees in the game. Graphical improvements has no impact whatsoever in the game if you don't use them. It's simple as that.
