So many missions I have been in lately I see Aspirants (of course in the freebie planes) and other very low ranks versus Top players..

When I asked zuperman about it awhile back he said that if newer players' statistics were good they would face better players. Well after missions that I see 'em I check their stats and 3 kills and 7 deaths is NOT good enough stats in my opinion that they should face experienced pilots.

Why you ask? 2 reasons.. first, getting hammered by top pilots in top planes is NOT the way to get people new to the game playing long enough to fall in love with it and stay in order to increase the active pilots in the game (which equals perhaps more subscriptions or points purchases for echoboom!)

Secondly, from my perspective ( and I am sure from theirs' too!) it's no contest.. I enjoy flying against willing and experienced pilots that WANT to have a go at me! The better they are the better I like it! I actually QUIT a dogfight mission not to long ago because the whole thing was filled with rank 4 and below.. including Aspirants! It was like I was a barracuda in a swimming pool filled with goldfish! I looked at the name of a more memorable one immediately afterwards and he had NO Kills and like 13 deaths! He (or she) shouldn't be in the same airspace with me.. not fair for them and no contest for me.

With all the other problems that zuperman is currently dealing with I know this a low-priority thing.. but it's something I hope can be addressed in the future.. both for the growth of the game as well as for the enjoyment of all of us who play!

I tend not to shoot at low rank palyers unless they are doing a good job of hitting me. you can usually flight right towards them and they won't land a shot or bother you too much.

I helped one guy out over the weekend and wanted him go form terible to 11 kills in just a few games, which was nice (by that point he was able to him me so I started to shoot back a little).

I guess if we all offer some encouragement to the new guys and don't treat them as easy points it will help more new players establish, and at the end of the day I want more new players.

You are absolutely right. I am here only 5 weeks now so I can give you the perspective of the noobs since it's still fresh in my mind. When I started I always had many MORAFs in my games. After I realized who they were I was like ooohhh snap. I will tell you what though I knew that I better up my game or else this will be a joke. Yeah it pretty much was a joke but it did help me get better fast. I am better now because of it but now that I am a much better player in a much better plane I see what a joke it is killing these beginners. I am like so this is how those pilots felt killing me. I can only laugh it off.

Yes new players should not be in the same room as the pros. The two are not even in the same ball park. It should be like this on a regular basis but unfortunately there will be times where there are not many players online and the two will need to be mixed. That's feeding time.

*** Here's an added note as to why having players completely segregated is not a good idea. If these beginners are just playing against eachother they may think that they are actually good. When they are finally thrown into the mix they will be in for a shell shock.

Truth be told, when some folks are in the dogfight mission, 0-13 is my score...

I say let them see high ranks, see some of the legends, but be nice to them.

I would like to add your comment. What you did for that pilot was awesome. I had many of you expenienced players help me along the way and I can tell you that I appreciated every single minute of it. Without help "swiss cheese" would be my name.

Screw it. The good ones will learn. The dedicated ones will persevere. The rest won't. Was this way for the longest time. Noob server was viewed as a temporary fix until everyone realized it was a cesspool and a large portion of players coming out of it were foul at best. This way, if they behave like that, there are repercussions.

I think zup have addressed this issue somewhere in the forum/wc. After the subscription was put up, the non-subscribers would only get a game in 7 minutes,we all know that. This MAY create empty rooms/partially filled rooms which would be boring for subscribers and a waste of their money if all they get is empty servers. If you look carefully,we can see that there are a lot, REALLY A LOT of noobs in most of the servers these days and they out number old players. This means that zup's business is going good and mixing the servers haven't made a drop in number of new players. As some legends say, IF YOU ARE RED YOU'RE DEAD. Learn in the tough way noobs.

Yeah it's good PR to give the noobs some advice : like how to not fly straight and be sitting ducks etc.
You want them to remember you as a "good guy" 'cause eventually they are going to get better than you!

I've always wished that after selecting a sever it would announce a year and force you to select aircraft appropriate, cutting down some of the mechanical advantage. Noobs would only play 1915-1916 so they would not face top planes

I love the noobs who come in and start talking trash right away, these are the players I try to "HELP" right away. They need practice taking off,so I "HELP" them do it over and over.
For the most part I am easy to get along with. Yesterday I had a noob (on my team) take off behind me, then shoot me in the back, 5 minutes later he is asking to join my squad. I was like "oh yeah, we need more pilots like you". Trying to teamkill, and riding around in a tank by his own base, then he started bombing his own hangars. Oh how I hope to see him red. LEARN HE SHALL
