As far as I can make out CC asked him ,at first,to remove it ,he did not TELL him to remove it. I personally had to work long and hard to attain the status that goes along with the [M] and if anyone attempts to impersonate a misfit they should be asked to remove the M or face
the consequences .

Yes it is a game, a great game in fact, a game to be enjoyed hopefully without drama. Players work hard to get into a squadron and stay there, people take pride in their squadrons. There are 25 other letters he could have put in brackets and absolutely no offence would have been taken , but he chose the one letter gaurenteed to caused a problem , seems to be a bit too much to have been a coincidence to me.Sorry my friend but the argument about my name and somebody using a squads symbol is totally irrelevant . I should go through and make a sample of their "flame" posts. Lol! Don't worry, I don't really care that much. Weatherman, Bezerk and Pete/nuts are the most prolific of the flame writers. Just take a look at their post history on their profiles, anywhere that is not actually on the Misfit thread. A good number of them are flame posts.

I could find my first admonition I posted while I was still in their squad. I made it after I had been flying "undercover" for a few days. I found that the Misfits as a generalization were the most likely to try to tell other people how to play and they would be rude about it. I asked that the squad back off a bit and not be such jerks to other pilots and squads. I said it made "us" look bad. They didn't like that. Why? I don't know. They are good to each other. They will help each other in the game and IRL if they are called upon. So why would they gang up and bash other players?

They circle the wagons and go after anyone that one of them has a problem with regardless of what the issue is. There may be a post or two where someone checked another squad mate for being out of line but it was only for very egregious circumstances.

Why can't they just be respectful? Who knows? Many Misfits are good to the rest of the community but three of the officers are ... (obtuse knuckleheads?)

Watch, someone will come on here saying I just want to hear myself talk or that I'm just "butt hurt" over being mistreated by the squad, or that I'm not making any sense. (Straw man fallacy. ) I'm not making false or exaggerated accusations here. I'm telling it how it is. I guess they're jerks because that's just who they are. (Nice badge BZ)

And to top off your idea of a prolific flame writer, I have gone back and looked at nearly every single one of my posts. Roughly (if my counting skills still work) 31 or them were directly inflammatory. All but 6 of those were a response to a direct mud sling at the squad or myself. So all told, 6% of my posts could be viewed inciting or combative. Now that I have looked, looks like I'm not doing enough. Thanks for the heads up.

Let me enlighten you my friend ,before I was a misfit I was a nobody ,just playing the game as best I could ,had no friends no one to talk to etc....then one day a misfit asked if I would like to join. That day my DF life changed , I felt I had found somewhere I could really belong and grow as a player. I had to work long and hard to attain my big M , the feeling I got when I passed my final eval will stay with me until the day I die. From being a nobody to being called friend and brother by some of the best and nicest people in the game , to me that is REAL status . The [M] really means a lot to misfits ,and that should be respected , not used by somebody who obviously just wants to caused trouble ,he has done this before so he knew the re action he would get.

Ah but when they aren't respectful, neither are we. Two way street. Let's face it, you want to draw this out and continue to banter over something we aren't going to change. We do our best, but when one forum goer makes it his mission to poke or insight a response from one of us it makes it tough. Should we ignore this poster? Should we turn the other cheek? After a half a dozen times, you would think I would learn. HULK NOT SO SMART. My apologies to all the other forum readers. I don't argue with people in my real life, I'm not sure why I let myself get dragged down to this level. A while back I told myself: "Self, no more getting involved in petty arguments" I'm not real good at listening to instructions. Again, HULK NOT SO SMART.
Maybe the NLR should have a rule about poking others.
