....don't know about tomahawks, but if you need an axe.....Fiskars from Finland is a great one to chop firewood.

Cool!,

Are you looking for something to practice throwing?, something for work?, or a good tactical tomahawk?

I have a couple cheap ones I got from Cabela's, just to play around with and practice throwing. They're nice cuz I don't worry about damaging them, and you can buy replacements immediately if you damage one. (At least, I can buy them quickly cuz I live just up the road from a Cabela's!)

I would also definitely take a look at some of the tomahawks that the military uses.

I believe there are some videos out on youtube somewhere about the "American Tomahawk Company", and I would definitely take a look at their website.

I've never tried Fiskars. I've heard a lot of vibration travels up to you hands in the Axe. I have 2 nice axes and 1 hatchet but I want a tomahawk because I do a lot of things outdoors and my hatchet is quit heavry.

I've ordered from a site called BUDK.com they sell knifes(most foreign made) but they also sell name brands like, SOG, Kershaw, Buck, Benchmade, etc. There prices on the name brands are pretty much the same as any other store or website but they always have deals for $5.00-FREE shipping which is mice plus they have a lot of 20% off the whole site deals. I've ordered a couple times from them and got some of the knifes that Ade cheaper made and I'll tell ya what I was impressed with what I got. The brand that they have that I think is a very good brand for foreign made knifes is Timber Wolf. I'll get some pics of the knife I got.

But back to the tomahawk.BUDK sells one for $40.00 and its pretty cool but it isn't full tang.

I want one because I do a lot outdoors and it would also come fishing with me because I fish almost everyday depending on weather and it would be good to have if I need to sack off a tree limb or get a lure out of a tree. I'm not looking to be felling trees just something light to carry when I'm in the wilderness.

Here's the knife I got. Timber Wolf brand. For a knife made in China this one stands the test! I got it for $10 but suggested retail is $32.00 but BUDK sells them way reduced.

I would never buy something like that online....

You need to get a good feeling handling it.
What's a 10er more if you get the job done with it.

The Fiskars axe often comes in a package deal with a sharpener which works really well.
I would not throw it though!

Well, if a mad grizzly comes at you, you might consider throwing it, and shout: "Fetch boy!"

Gerber Downrange Tomahawk. Not cheap but soemthing to trust your life with. If it's not THAT serious, try the SOG one that's in all the catalogs.

Edit - Uncle Sam bought my Gerber, which was in a breaching kit.
