I only know of this happening if you are having trouble with your device, not the app. Uninstall the app, re-start your device then install the app again from the store. This should sort out your problem.

Un-install the app, re-start your device and then re-install it. Apple can be a pain in the 'arris when it comes to updates. They show you a new update, you download it and find that the update is available but it hasn't yet been published by the Apple store.
