Just spawned into a btb game, died imediately, thought it was a spawn crash but saw the Reds had a tank in the airfield. The player killed several planes as they spawned in. The player then shot up a couple of hangers to end the game.
I would like the opinion of the forum. Is this a legit tactic or do you think it's tank spawn killing? I have screen shot of the tank blasting us to pieces.

Well, I my opinion, this is spawnkilling. But I must say, when you manage to reach the enemy base in a btb mission, with a tank, and see all those pesky reds that close, it is temptating .

Oh most definitely spawn killing and a bannable offense. One of the few hard fast rules...no tanks near runway...take out the hangars all you like but no shooting airplanes...totally defenseless at that point.

Wow that's a tough one, I've only reached the base a few times. I think I would do it given the new direction the game is going in. Against the better players you can no longer shoot them down without getting shot down so it's a stalemate, I'm even beginning to understand someone camping while his fellow blues are approaching. The dynamics and tactics that were once taboo will likely become ok now.

Funny story, one day I was at the base in a tank and PLURIBUS spawned in front of me. (I like him by the way)
Well I couldn't resist, I shot him point blank. His plane lifted into the air, flipped over and blew up, it was absolutely hilarious and it Made my day.

For the record, I would not do it but I could understand the temptation now

Thanks for your replies, I think it's spawn killing also, but the style of play these days makes you wonder. As my original post mentioned I just spawned in so don't know all the details in how the tank got there, hence the question and not imediately blacklist post.

If it only happened once it might have been accedental (I have gotten a plane trying for a hanger) but if he hit more than one he was tank spawning.

it would depend if he was only blasting planes are taking out hangers in between it's a smart move if you manage to get to the base in a tank and you have no air cover to keep your opponents from taking off if they know you were there you will be their primary target so I would say no its not spawn killing if you're taking out hangers at the same time but Davys right (man that just sounds so wrong when you say it out loud) it is a very tough call but I would say no not spawn killing that's my two cents
