for those that are interested in the history of the great war and would like to see it presented in a slightly different way, check out 'The Great War' channel on youtube. a very interesting show to say the least, but what makes it extra cool is they are going over the war, week by week, in real time. new episodes come out every thursday.



in previous videos they have made appeals to share their stuff, so here it is! i strongly recommend it to anyone interested in the first world war.

the host is great. funny and awkward at the same time. not many people can manage that!

i was looking for a way to really mark the 100th anniversary so i started watching this when it came out. to begin with they made a bunch of quick specials about the war itself and the build up to war. they just recently posted the 6 months of war video. now that it's 1915 the episodes are getting more intricate. i'm curious to see how they handle the later battles that took months to finish.

imagine what it would be like back then in 1915. cold cold cold and explosions everywhere. yowza.

I do shudder at the thought of how grueling the conditions were then and the thought of world wars in the first place....

But then where would we be if all those millions WEREN'T killed in the big wars but stayed at home to breed instead....

there is a real cool 4 part documentary about the air war on youtube. it's called '4 years of thunder' and it is awesome. deadly!
