A. My characterizing your posts as that of a 12 year old has nothing to do with your not wanting feedback. There is no connection. Fact 1: Your previous posts have indicated, both directly and indirectly, that you care little about what others think. That's fine. Fact 2: 12 year olds tend to string sentences into one long breath. That happens. Why are you intertwining the two facts, like one should preclude the other?
B. The screenshot is not ill-informed. I was agreeing with CC's second point that YOU are ill-informed. Again, look at facts. Boudicca's long history, which you have clearly failed either to research or to comprehend, shows a hair trigger temper when someone spawnkills, camps, drops, sneaks, or lags. Same dedicated flame posts for each offense. The first offense, and maybe the second one depending on the situation, is bannable. The next two are, in your words, strategies, depending on the situation. And lagging is a game or connection problem. Boudicca opens a player-targeted thread for the umpteenth time and flames about the two strategies, dropping and sneaking. You see it fit to defend her on the dropping by telling CC that he was offensive by calling her a bad player when not dropping. You applied no credibility measure on Boudicca: not for the prior threads that overreact to all sorts of strategies and server-induced issues, and not for her inclusion of sneaking in her complaint against CC. THAT is what makes your response appear woefully ill-informed.
I am no great fan of CC. I believe I've played him a handful of times, and he is aggressive and skilled. I think once as a blue he shot a bit close over my shoulder, so I have a minor mental note of someone not to be in front of. Other than that, I'm coming into this neutral on him and just looking at this thread and prior histories.
I know Boudicca better. She and I have traded PM's, with her trying to explain player issues and me trying to get her to have less of a hair trigger. I've given up trying to counsel her on reactions to what every player sees every day that are just part of the game, versus the behaviors that are bannable and worth reporting. I accept that she just wants to react with how she feels, and she accepts that we disagree on what to do with those feelings. We get along in-game, and she is a very good player. But she will continue flaming with (IMO) little cred, and I will continue mostly dismissing her posts, and sometimes chiming in with (IMO) a little more cred I hope.
Boudicca specifically complains about the in-game comment from CC, that she drops because she's a bad pilot when she carries. THINK about that, in the context of INFORMED reading of her previous threads.
1) Players trash talk. It's done. It's even strategy, especially when you know a player has a hair trigger temper (hint). CC's comment might sound like he is eliciting a reaction. You come here and tell CC that he is the bad pilot if he does not adjust to a dropper; by the same logic, perhaps YOU are a bad pilot because you clearly do not see trash talking as a strategy, and therefore don't adjust to it. At the very least, Boudicca is not adjusting to the strategy of trash talk in this game, yet you cherry pick the same point to diss CC's defense of his comment. Wow.
2) Let's say it's not trash talk. Let's say CC meant it literally. Telling other players in-game that someone drops is extremely important and strategic. Extending the comment to why (cuz she plays poorly when she carries) tells blues that she is a slow turner when she has a bomb and can be brought down easily by someone similarly equipped. Sounds strategic to me. Oh, the comment sounded more flippant and emotion-goading than mere strategic informing? Yeah I agree. See Point #1.
I hope that covers the points in my previous post more clearly.
