Zup explained to others that if Microsoft Outlook is the way you normally pay for things it is Microsoft Outlook asking for your password not DF. You can purchase a debit card and use that if you feel better about it.

And the request for outlook password is very bland and anonymous. Suspicious as I am already logged on to Outlook once I start up the PC. Why is it asking again?
Maybe I am paranoid, but I do teach internet security, so I'm very aware of these issues.

That's exactly what it is asking. You log into your pc with your outlook account. So when you want to pay using the Microsoft Store, it asks for your Microsoft Account (your pc account).
It is Microsoft Store asking that info, not Dogfight. Microsoft asks that info because it needs to verify that it is you before processing any payment.
