G'Day Friends and fellow Pilots of DF,

On the 12th Friday, I'll be coordinating Squad War games in WC.
I'll like to hijack 2 servers Vimy and Bori for the games if there is enough squads intrested..
They will be Quick but Fun games Hopefully.

Rules:
No Tank spawn killing,
No blocking of the Runway, by Tank or Plane,
No Glitch Shooting or Bombing, ie. Underwater Tank, Invisible Plane.

Yes to Going High and Around,
Yes to Plane Spawn Kill,
Yes to Camping.

Please Don't Brag in WC or on Open Forum..Keep it in your Squad Forum Only

4 v 4

Teams intrested please be present on the day...
I will direct u to either Vimy or Bori.. On the German or British side..
I would like to have at least 4 max on a side to go in as once we have 8 players no one else can enter..
IF there r any unortherised players please ask them to leave nicely...
Once in, No one starts flying till teams are ready..
"GO" will be the word to start flying and the game begins.
Once the game ends please Press Quit and I'll send in the next group..
For those who had been in please comment on how it went both in WC and Forum as we can further improve for future game play..

Ps. Can we please Translate this to other Languages on the Forum and During Squad War Day.

Well presented idea Sir.
My humble opinion is that Friday will be tough day to have this SW. Weekend and lots of non-forum users(majority) will be filling up and wont easily leave a server even if we ask nicely. I'm not trying to be a downer. It will be good if u go for a trial run on Thursday night. All the very best. Appreciate ur effort for putting up in all squad threads.

if enough people are willing to let things happen as they do, then it will be a good fun time. trying to control teams and whatnot is very difficult so staying calm is a must. i bet i could find 3 g.i's to back me up in a fight. and if nothing else, to have fun.

I think i can get a couple of Misfits to go into battle. All together we can make this work! Thanks yak!
What if a tank is on the other side of the mountain and shoots at the spawning planes? will this be considered a spawn kill? I'm not saying that i have done this before Well you cant prove it anyway

sounds good 2 me I think I could get either some wolvs or my brother gi,s to go into battle with me ...sounds fun

It's just that most players should be able to play on the weekends...
And hopefully most r in a Squad already ...

I've never been in a Squad War either...
And I've been playing for over 2 years..

Sounds like a blast to me!!! Trying to keep it organized will be the hard part, but with enought squads want to do it it should workout very well as long as we are patient. Might be able to fly? What type of time frame r u thinking? Noon......supper.......midnight......?

What time zone were you thinking? I live in GMT -6:00, so by the time I'm available to play at night, a lot of European players will be on Saturday already.

As far as predictions of failure go, if everybody works together on this, chances of success are significantly improved. For instance, a belligerent Air Commodore is unwilling to accommodate our request to leave, all squad war blue players park and allow the red team to push him back to the runway and spawnkill him until he quits. If he doesn't... Spawnkill him more.

Also, are we looking at four or five squadrons here? I see representatives from M.O.M, 121st, GI, and Wolf Pack at least... I can see this evolving into more of a big ol' party than a squad war if it doesn't work out. Not that I don't like parties. Parties usually mean CAKE.

Ummm.... All of the above time frame.......as long as If I'm off line some else can direct traffic and ppl r still willing to give this a shot.. Let's try and pull this as long as it will go....

Yes, so I've heard it's failed before but why give up and not try again...
What can we lose? Another Failier or r we scared it will succeed... Let's make this Happen and Hopefully it will be the best time ever....
Just like to say.....Most of us who head into a game and r confronted in a 1v 6 or 7 still stick it to the end... Why? Cos we love the challenge...
With the Rules I've em placed, it should lead us to fast games. 20 min or less hopefully...
I sure hope U and all of DD's give it another try....

Misfits have had pretty good luck hijacking servers before. I think a couple of gentle guard dogs in WC will be very helpful. Of course you will get a few that will be curious. So we all ask nice once, then... i know whip tried this before, but i thought they actually got to play for awhile.
No matter what it will be a lot of fun. Especially if MOM will be bringing cake!

How will we decide who is German and who is Allied? Really i guess it wouldn't matter. I get shot down fairly equal on either side If all else fails this will be one heck of a circus flying session!

Just so u know, if u r in a small Squad or just don't have the players on the day.... I'll try and accommodate u into a makeshift team unless u have pre-organized plan....

To be honest if I'm not there early enough and someone can direct the games into either vimy or bori.... Please feel free to start anytime, but please only have 1 G.C ( Game Coordinator)
Just make sure it's 1 game at a time in vimy and in bori... Let's try and cut that lag...

Let's decide who is German and who is British before heading in the game.
We r only playing 3 types of missions....
Capture the Carrier, Bomb the Base, and Bomb the Carrier...
So there should not be any extra advantage on either side.....
Or is there something u know that I dont
If it turns out to much trouble after a few trials, on the day we can switch to inside changing...

How many from a squadron need to be there, i might have a problem trying to contact some from War Birds at that time
Everytime i get on df i go to squad chat and like n hour ago there would be like at least five or six on saying hi and anyone on i usually miss them by an hour or so.. Bad timing

4 to a team .....
Or even If u can organize a joint team with another squad....

good idea mcfate. i've been in many attempted squad fights and they usually end up with one side or the other waiting for pilots to join. as long as one side has 3, that sounds good to me.
