This is off topic but what isn't these days.. But my question is would Cichlids mix well with my pleco and dragon fish/goby ? the dragon fish doesn't eat others and the pleco is just territorial to bigger fish but he/she is fine with the dragon fish. There's a HUGE sunburst platy which might be pregnant but its been huge for 2-3 months so wouldn't it have popped by now ? LOL maybe its just big. There's also a rubber lip pleco but that's still small so he's not to worry about. so would Cichlids fit well ? here's some pics to show ya what im dealing with.

-Cichlid

-Pleco

-Dragon fish/goby

Don't know about the dragonfish but the plectus domus is no problem to cichlids.

The Cichlids are generally ok with most other species. The Dragonfish and Plecostomus are good in mixed species tanks as they tend to stick to their own food sources and aren't very territorial. I have always had Plecs in any tank I set up as they love grazing on the algae and help keep your tank clean.

Well, someone who has English as spoken language may be able to tell you what it's called. I don't know the English word for it, but it's definitely not pregnant... well maybe... if it's a dolphin you have in your fish tank :)

Don't you learn this kind off things in biology class?

I don't think its a good idea to mix cichlids and dragonfish, but you never know. Let me know what you decided and the final outcome. Also, I believe gravid is the term used by medical pros referring to any living organism that is carrying eggs or fetus. But pregnant has the same exact definition

In fish species where females are capable of getting pregnant (such as sharks and rays), males and females mate the same way birds do, with the "cloaca kiss" where the female and male's cloaca briefly meet so that the male can ejaculate sperm into the female.
