Mac has stolen my name and is making me and LEGENDS look bad by running his mouth in games. I've emailed Zup twice. The first time was when he first switched to sir becken in world chat and pretended to talk about me. The 2nd time is him in game. I've sent zup the screenshot and hopefully something will be done. He left after First Blood said he would report him. Mac maybe you should stop acting like a child looking for approval.

Instead of coming to me so we could hash out this problem privately (which I have done with you on several occasions), you went straight to making a thread and emailing the developer with no warning.

It should be clear that I had no malicious intent in my change of name. I did it purely for the sake of humor, as I have been known to do many times in the past. I wasn't even imitating you. I still had the M.O.M tag over my head, for god's sake!

I actually was not intending to really use that name either. When you entered world chat, I was asking CurtisShoe, Pinkstar, and a couple others if they thought it was appropriate and funny, or whether it was over the line. They were about to give me their reactions when you arrived and instantly started accusing me of "name stealing", as if I was attempting to take your name and make it my own. Nothing could be further from the truth.

You also accused me of trashing your squadron for absolutely NO reason. I never mentioned Legends. I didn't even put an "[LF]" in front of my name! I was TRYING to keep Legends out of it.

When I change names, I select a Dogfight player, name myself a slight variation of his name, and act out the most recognizable characteristic of that player, massively magnified. Take for instance "Pluribus 2.0". I became Pluribus 10X. And he himself thought it was hilarious. He met me in game, and we had a great time.

I was NOT planning on continuing this bit. I was merely getting advice from my friends. I'm still stuck with this name for 24 hours, man.

Next time, if you have a problem with me, let's hash it out BEFORE you go straight to slandering me subjectively and trying to get me banned.

It will be a sad day, but a glorious one when mods are brought back. Most pilots(players) are use to there current behavior and no punishment for such behavior's and that gives them the sense of freedom but they don't think of the greater good and the fact that there are younger persons viewing the forum and game and it just looks bad no matter what your reasons or causes are there are no reasons to act like hooligans and most wont change until its to late but sometimes that's for the greater good.

No self-respecting Mod would be bothered to lift a finger in this case. It was a harmless joke, one that's been played on dozens of players stretching back over several years. Any idea how many fake wigs we've had? There aren't enough bans to go around. And unlike Mac some of them have impersonated me with the specific purpose of being inflammatory and discrediting the name. Mac's just having some harmless fun. Pluribus gets it, so does Gunnerzz.

Years ago I went for a long stretch changing my name every week; When ABSOLUTIONbizzi was a top ranked player I was ABSOLUTIONwigbomb. TheVampire. inspired TheWigpire. I was WStrachan. Rickenfaker spawned Wigenfaker. On one occasion thirty or forty players adopted some variation on "wig". Then I and dozens of others did the same with BluE MaX. People here had thicker skins and it was a more enjoyable place for it.

Is Mac trying to get a reaction? Of course. All comics are. Are his methods malicious? Not that I've seen and not that anything here has suggested. You play directly into the joke by giving it precisely the knee-jerk response he expects. That's gold to a humorist, I'm sure he's grateful.

Well blood I don't know much about you seem like a good guy!! As a man I've had to raise children and as a man you've got to be forgiving to children.But mac is not a child and on a technical note from what I seen his name was sir becken beck goes by Mr Becken with the LF sign.So really he didn't actually steal Becks name.Anycase he did no harm and I'm sure he apologized.I can think of alot of others who would agree that this is a lil blownup!! I'm also sure he won't do it again . I've seen Beck forgive people who has done worse and by now maybe Becks forgave him!!
