Howdy people pilots...I was looking at the system of world ranking and could not seem to understand something.I know this is a fantastic GAME and I love playing it for fun but can someone see why hangars are more valued than wins...ill explain.
I am ranked 154..........kills..27336....hangars...1373....deaths...13414.....crashes...2627.....won games....3044
This gives me a difference of 13922....or 2/1 kdr. Yet because my hangars are lower than higher ranked players but my wins are greater it means more emphasis is placed on hangers than wins..if u think about this u can be a lone player on btb and get all 8 hangars and a win...but the hangars will propell u up the table more..here r some more figures
Ranking........45...........kills..21552....hangars...3061....deaths....10022....crashes...1689.....won games....2955
Ranking........56...........kills..22149....hangars...2521....deaths.....14547...crashes....2807....won games....2807
In both cases the only difference is hangars...why is this so...just wondering..I think games won should take a higher value than hangars...anyway its only fun..Keep flying...

I think there should be a balance between the two. winning is good but not everyone plays fair to win. getting hangers is important but as you said it depends if you can bomb them all by yourself or not. That is my idea however I don't know what zup was thinking when he programed the ranking. c u in the sky

As i mentioned in another thread both the players you picked Abu and shoe are inactive players.Their stats remain static from the last time they played the game.Their rankings are not accurate.The only way to put these and others(wudf,ddubaj,bomber etc) in their rightfull ranking position is to activate/loggin those accounts and then they will be ranked accurately.

Crashes were/are a big factor.You used to loose points acrewed if you crashed before landing or if you didnt chute and make the landing.

Thank you for the replies..bit confused bug ,inactive means no longer playing..or not frequent players..surely others who play will have overtaken them by now? If not my point was ,wins should be more valuable than hangars? On a game 6 vrs 2 u will get more hangars but not necessarily the win...I haven't played as long as you and respect your views I'm always learning..thanx again for the imput

You can't work out mathematically any info regarding stats by using 2 pilots that have been inactive from different times unless you knew their actual ranking.Abu abed stopped playing before the top 100 were morafs.if he logged in for a game now his ranking would plummet to the 400s then you could try to work it out with this actual ranking.
Try to work out stats scoring with 2 current playing pilots then you might get your answer.

Surely if the stats are updated every week the top 100 would be a constant? or more accurate I don't know who plays and who does not...I don't want to take anything away from this awesome game just I have this kind of brain that needs to understand things...I respect the p layers that have put the hours in and I'm sure my ranking represents my skill level just mathematically seems weird..ty

There is no way any other rank other than 31 morafs should be in that top 100.zup can update the stats every millisecond if he wants and it wont make a blind bit of difference to the position of inactive players unless those players decide to log in on their side.zup needs to have a work around this problem of activating idle accounts.

Hey guys, reading between the lines id hazard a guess that with having the emphasis on hangers destroyed encourages players to bomb more , so theres the risk and reward of doing so . Theres obviously times when you enter a game as it finishes and you get the win points which would be unfair if you got the same points or similar to someone whos been slugging it out for an hour and got a few hangers . Or another example is players who enter the game and sneak around for a while , dont really engage the enemy and get the same win points , in all I think youve highlighted a good point and is further evidence that being a dropper is literally pointless , regards johnnie

Ive just had a test back on topic.
After winning 1 game i aceived 250 coins & 250exp
After bombing 1 hanger i acheieved 100 coins & 100 exp.
Im asuming tank bombing a hanger the same.(untested)
Therefore to bomb 3 hangers and lose is better than to not bomb and win.

Yeh your position is purely based on xp..stats are not in the ranking system unfortunately..find zep games n watch yourself jump positions fast..

It also depends on when you joined to. In the old days you didn't keep all your points if you got shotdownand didn't make it tothe ground or crashed, so you could get ten kills in a row then crash and earn no points. Now you always keep the points so somenildee players are lower ranking for the same stats as newer players.

Thanks for all your input guys quite interesting isn't it although I'm only slightly clearer about it..good experiment quit..that clears it a bit I will play for fun as I always do..and enjoy reading all of your wise words folks..ty..
