Just a thought:
Don't edit to much when you posted something. Those that responded will find their answer has nothing to do with your edit anymore.
.....and another:
Make a first page of your squadrons thread. Explain what you are about, what your view on the game is, your 'rules', who can join and all of that. 'Sell' your squad the best you can and point out what makes you unique.

Be very active in moderating your members posts. Be a shining example of being well organized and expell those that misbehave.
Requirements to join should be high, so you later on can 'just invite' those you find promissing players.

'Now why did he never start a squad of his own?' you might ask... Exactly for those reasons! I bet it is a pain in the ........to do it right.
