I was researching something else and came across several u-tube videos where people used apps that made their PS3 and xbox game controllers work with games they play on their phones and tablets. this was with both wired and wireless controllers. has anyone tried this? looks pretty slick and if it would work with DF it would vastly improve my flying....

Seems to work with some games.

I tried it on Android with a Counterstrike rip off game known as critical strike. Though for android you will have to be rooted for such apps to hook up the USB hid controllers. But not all controls work. I am also looking to try a joystick to fly the plane in DF.

If you are using either a desktop or laptop computer via Win 8.1 apps then you can use an X-Box 360 controller for PC to play Dogfight.

There are supposed to be joysticks that work, but I am not aware of anyone that managed to get one working!

right now i am using a couple different android devices. a new windows computer is in my near future so that wont be a problem...but for right now i would love to use a gamepad to fly rather than tilt or touch screen joystick.

I have a galaxy note 2014 and I can plug in my ps3 controller with a USB to micro USB adapter no problem. The problem is Dogfight is not "mapped" to accommodate an external controller. I contacted a big gaming guru/developer months ago to see what i could do. He looked at dogfight and was surprised with over million downloads it wasn't "controller friendly". He said mapping the game out is relatively easy for a game developer to do. I've contacted echo boom and Zuperman with no replies...there are lots of players who would love this I know and other threads on this topic as well. Contact echo boom and Zup and hope they will make this happen.
