To the forums? All I see on the first page now is ppl complaining, squad threads, and Spanish threads :/ the forums used to be fun and insightful. There is never anything worth posting on anymore.... What happened?

All I've ever seen on the front page is people bitching and wailing, sometime people bitching and wailing in Spanish. That's what makes it fun to visit. Go ahead; stir the pot a little. Start a "bring back the D-8" thread, or "Dropers are Scum" thread. You know you want to.

A couple are going to a Halloween party and the girl comes down the stairs wearing nothing but boots; so the guy says "What are you suppose to be?!"

The girl replies, "Puss in boots."

So the guy goes into the kitchen and comes back out waering a only a potato.

"What are you suppose to be?" the girl asks.

"If you can be puss in boots, then I can be a dictator!"

Honestly, this is nothing new. This is the way it's been for a while, actually.

My hypothesis for this is that of all the players here, we have only one thing in common: we all play Dogfight. We are not able to connect as a majority on any major topic (without the thread eventually dying out) besides Dogfight. Most of our good dogfight experiences happen in the game. Those can be found in world chat, or in screenshots across the forum.
However, that leaves no place for the bad ones. Those, we take to forum, where they can be seen by all. Does that make sense? So even if it seems like there is only complaining, there actually isn't only complaining.

Every now and then, we'll have a couple weeks where everyone gets along, and some good threads appear, but for the most part, discussion over ethics, complaints about players, and the occasional drama is the norm.

For the fun, friendly, entertaining stuff you so earnestly seek, that is most often to be found on squadron threads. If you look at those, we spend very little time in squadron threads complaining about our problems: it is where we joke around and share camaraderie.

Longrife nosotros no nos quejamos, advertimos a otros pilotos diciendoles que pueden jugar de la manera que quieran, si no te gusta te sales y buscas otro servidor.tambien me alegra saber que los pilotos muchos de ellos ya no se dejan manipular por gente como vosotros.que cada uno juegue como quiera.aqui las reglas no las vais a poner vosotros.me da alegria ver a muchos pilotos jugar de otra manera y ojala!! Yes, the topic of Dogfight has a very small scope when it comes to conversation topics. Considering the game is a competitive one, most topics will be about fighting one another -- however pleasant or unpleasant it may be. The game hasn't drastically changed its mechanics over the last few years, so any talks about strategy has already been exhausted.

If you haven't noticed, the most fun threads are usually the ones that are unrelated to DF. Or, the ones that are really dramatic and get a lot of people's attention (I guess these aren't fun, but still "stimulating").

En cuanto a otros temas, a nosotros nos gusta tanto o mas que a muchos de ustedes de habla inglesa los divertidos como dice, pero que sepa que muchos otros hilos que hacen ustedes de graciosos no tienen nada, y muchas veces no se corresponden con el tema que tratan.por otra parte somos cada uno libres de exponer lo que queramos en cualquier hilo y donde queramos hacerlo.

Sarcasm doesn't translate well. There are threads in every language complaining about something. That's what makes it fun.

I don't care if you drop, sneak, swear, or try to set a world record shoving marshmallows in your mouth (I can't wait to see how that transalates, the only reason it's in there).

All your base are belong to us. I'm pretty much a sarcastic guy, which is like being funny sometimes and pithy once in a while. My point is if there was no complaining on the board there would be less than half the current posts. Country and language are not barriers to complaint.

If there ever is a squad wars, I'm starting a mercenary squad of rogue Morafs, and you can bet we will be using all the board and all the tactics. I don't play like that now, but now I'm simply in it for me, and I like to slug it out with the best of them toe to toe. I'm happy with my 2-1 KDR, and to follow the mission, but if it becomes a collective effort for a team, I'll be playing a different game, and the victory will be sweeter the more outrage it spawns on the board. I've always said, the game needs villians.

Es evidente que google traslate no entiende de sarcasmos ni es capaz de trasladar la inteligencia emocional.
Por el contrario si sirve para eliminar esas barreras lingüísticas que generan enfrentamientos por falta de entendimiento del idioma.
Los foros en Español, libres de pensamiento como cualquier otros, reflejan el sentir y la necesidad de sus participantes y son un punto de encuentro. Critican en tono mayor o menor constructivo cuantas situaciones, normas o actuaciones que se generan en el juego.
No entiendo tengan que ser divertidas, ingeniosas, suspicaces o dignas de cualquier otro calificativo.Sencillamente con ser el pensamiento de alguien, con ser respetuoso con los demás, es muy importante al menos para mi, respeto y valoro como muy importante el pensamiento respetuoso de todas las personas.
Es difícil encontrar un punto en común que una a los jugadores de DF, solo existe como posible la victoria y el rango en la mayoría, si bien es cierto que otros apuestan por disfrutar del juego, hacerlo más justo para todos, incluidos los que empiezan,y llevarlo a un escalón más alto del que se encuentra en este momento.
Reitero, es nuestro pensamiento, lo manifestaremos e intentaremos conseguirlo.
Lo que realmente considero deleznable son las actitudes totalitarias, dictaduras de pensamiento y el uso de insultos para conseguir y justificar una posición. Lamentablemente existe pero darle un espacio y dedicarle un tiempo es absurdo. Siempre es mejor hacer el mayor desprecio con no hacer aprecio.
Me gustaría ser chistoso, no lo soy, sarcástico, no lo soy, pero lo que si soy es respetuoso con todos.
